I just want to say that low BR fench tanks are dual faces, some are shitty and then you have the D2, a shot tanker, once got shot 10+ times by 3 eneimes still managed to survive, then got killed

Oerlikon is not a French origin weapon either though.
And imo, if the weapon was in French service, I don’t see any reason not to use it, especially if the platform it comes on is unique.
The HEAT round cannot go past 400m at that’s at full elevation. The Vo is under half that of the M8 HMC’s. Good luck.

Note that Hispano guns are French versions adapted from Oerlikon guns.
And since Oerlikon (at the time) was a Swiss company, it was more or less neutral and sold weapons to just about every country. What’s more, since Switzerland isn’t represented in the game, I don’t mind so much.

the round weighs 1.54 kg and has a muzzle velocity of 254 m/s. the gun can elevate to 80 degrees, more than enough to far exceed the practical irl range
The AMX-10P is truly one of the most needed vehicles in game right now. It’s historically significant and would help address both the IFV and SPAA problems of France, being a good candidate for 5.7 similar to the SUB-I-II.

As i said earlier, good luck aiming anything with a 200m/s round when people struggle to play the infinitely more armoured M8 HMC with a 300m/s round.
While it is a “good” candidate it is also one of the worst candidate in terms of what France has.
Why have a single 20mm SPAA when you have stuff like

AMX 10P would just give France a terrible SPAA (as there is no real ingame way to use the ATGM crew that is stuck inside and has to get away of the vehicle), that will fill the spot of an actual SPAA which will get denied as there is already one. Having another bad vehicle is not what the France tech tree needs. ITt needs good ,playable, on par vehicles not another underperfoming box

even if we take your source which doesn’t even specify direct or indirect fire max/practical range, 200 m/s is still enough for the quick vehicle which allows you to get up close and personal anyway

You really think a small 60mm HEAT bomb is going to do any damage ? With the War Thunder HEAT damage model ? And since you are "close and personnal, your clown car will get .50cal within the first 10s after you turn a single member of an M26 crew piss-yellow thanks to the war thunder equivalent of a sour candy
At least others clown cars have larger caliber 105/120 HEAT or very very fast reload (think USH). Youn won’t get either of those

and what exactly makes you think 200 mm of pen will make it go up against M26s? and the .50 cal argument goes for every single poorly armored racecar in the game, yet i still see R3s get kills.
if you can’t get a kill with a vehicles that does 90 kph with 200mm of pen, frankly it’s a skill issue

Not saying the AMX-10P would be a particularly good SPAA. That’s not its main role, after all. But it would be sufficient for the BR, fit in nicely with other similar vehicles, and has production numbers in the thousands. Not the best solution performance-wise to France’s problems, but the solution with the strongest reasons to be in game.
Besides, what nation has an actual designated SPAA at that BR? There’s the Ostwind II, BTR-ZD, and Bosvark, but otherwise all nations have no SPAA at 5.0-6.0 or their SPAA is an IFV.
