In my experience, premium accounts are not affected. After they upgraded premium users to not lose sl, sl should not be an issue.
Only way for premium users to lose sl from a match is to teamkill.
Crew training can get expensive but if you keep vehicles in certain slots, it should be fine.
Those shells are honestly cursed.
I once got the drop on some tank with a KV2-like turret. You know, big boxy, all hard flat angles. I cannot remember which it was though.
Anyhow, I shot at its turret from the rear hoping to get the turret crew.
Shell shattered.
For a shot that was basically perpendicular on the rear barn door of a boxy turret.

I would love to be given an opportunity to reset the skills once per account.
Unless you’re only interested in the lower level vehicles in the game, talisman is really useful.
Because the amount of rp needed for low level vehicles isn’t that much, but if you want to experience the top level vehicles, the amount of rp needed is a staggering amount
And a premium account can double your rp gain, buying a talisman can double the rp again.
That means paying players grind four times faster than regular players.
It would be very necessary for a 400k+ rp on a top of the line vehicle

A Talisman is a guarantee to having Silver Lions problems.
A premium vehicle is in the long run cheaper in both time and money; as with a talisman you either have to buy SL, buy a premium anyway, or spend more time earning that SL.
A premium account is the objective cheapest: $40 a year during sales in USA for example.
A premium vehicle is the 2nd best deal.
Talismans in the way they are now are the worst deal, and only cause more spending down the line.
There’s a reason I have over 36 talismans and all of them were free. Gaijin gives them away like candy cause even they know they’re a tool to sell premiums.
I intentionally avoid using my vehicles that have those talismans in order to keep the SL profits flowing.

As someone with chronic SL problems I never understood people who say “just get a talisman”. I don’t have a problem with RP and make bucketloads of it. It’s the constantly buying, getting modules and crewing new vehicles that’s leaving me in an uphill battle.
Used to play WoT everything from mid tier even for cracked players was silver losses
