some things would be overly op in my opinion, for example Type 10 can redirect power of their transmission to the autoloader leading of reloads from 2.3 seconds to a whooping 1.2 seconds if redirected majority of power

So balance it based on BR like the BR system is intended, not hard.
We’re also not talking about things like reload rates which ARE different irl depending on variables. We’re talking about HARD missile stats that NEVER swap even a decimal.

Both AAM-3 and AAM-4 are completely indigenously designed and fielded missiles by Japan. They are not used outside of japan
In a game where end tier is continuously becoming a fest of pure copy paste from either the US or Russia for every nation (because it is IRL) Its nice for nations to get their own unique weapons to add a bit of variety.

Find a source that shows Japan has used AIM-120As on their F15Js and submit it then.
If it didnt use a missile IRL, then it shouldnt use it in WT.

Japan already has enough fake stuff shoehorned in to try and maintain some balance or relevance. I dont see a reason to add any more.

To be fair they did have AIM-120Bs and tested them with their F-15s, which should be enough. Though I hope they’re added as an option alongside AAM-4 rather than replace them.

Show me a source where the US was using AIM120As when Japan was fielding the AAM4.
he says it was japan who was using AIM-120A wich is still wrong they tested AIM-120B’s and after the AAM-4 was created since AIM-120C wasnt being sold to another country yet

When 5th gen eventually comes, literally all European nations will have the meteor while the US and maybe Japan will get the JATM and China will receive the PL 15.
I dont really know whether thats a good sign for eventual 5th gens…
edit: doesnt really matter for Russia. They’ll die first anyway unless Gaijiggles pulls out stats from bullshitville…

That’s not my point. If this game is supposed to be balanced, then there’s no balance with the AIM120A vs the AAM4. Gaijin adds or restrictions weaponry for balance. Why is it so unreasonable to limit Japan to the AIM120A, when the AAM4 is comparable to later AIM120C variants? Gaijin fabricated the F16AJ to give Japan a competitive aircraft. Giving them the AIM120A for now is far more reasonable.
