Other countries getting better US missiles than US itself?

no it wasn’t its a completely domestic missile. if anything its closer to the sparrow in terms of development. (as in the AAM-4 was meant to replace sparrows they had.)

AESA AMRAAM is irrelevant, that was AAM-4B

AAM-4 is a japanese missile. US did not develop or use it.

Why shouldn’t the US get the AIM120C with Japan getting the AAM4?

Because it isn’t needed

Is the AAM4 needed?

America is getting the AIM-150C on the F-15C, as shown in the trailer.

Yeah as Japan won’t have a fox 3 without it

Give them the AIM120A.

japan main thing is their domestic weapons wich are unique over the american weaponry, plus they never operated AIM-120A they operated AIM-120C’s and only operated a few of them in their F35’s because they couldnt get their AAM-4’s in the F35 due to US stuff

You AIM-120C isn’t needed yet

Japan never used AMRAAM and should have its domestic ARH

Could have sworn in the “Boot up” sequence of the trailer it said “AIM-120C…………Match found…….F-15C”

they kind of did but never on their F15J MSIP

Probably just so they have something until the Mitz F-2

dang didnt knew about that, prob something gaijin didnt knew or gaijin just decided to start adding their locally produced missiles so they could have something unique over another F15C copy and paste, also F15J MSIP its missing the 360 HMD now that i think about it
