japan main thing is their domestic weapons wich are unique over the american weaponry, plus they never operated AIM-120A they operated AIM-120C’s and only operated a few of them in their F35’s because they couldnt get their AAM-4’s in the F35 due to US stuff

You AIM-120C isn’t needed yet

Japan never used AMRAAM and should have its domestic ARH

Could have sworn in the “Boot up” sequence of the trailer it said “AIM-120C…………Match found…….F-15C”

they kind of did but never on their F15J MSIP

and they have a whole stock of AIM-120s all of which are compatible they even have the LAU-128 rails for wing mounted AIM-120s.

Probably just so they have something until the Mitz F-2

dang didnt knew about that, prob something gaijin didnt knew or gaijin just decided to start adding their locally produced missiles so they could have something unique over another F15C copy and paste, also F15J MSIP its missing the 360 HMD now that i think about it

the missile didn’t just pop into existence on its own before japanese engineers

I used to have a quote along the lines of that in my bio, because I always remember shit, and some people do too, and other don’t, and it pisses me off.

What kind of logic is this? Badly flawed and makes zero sense.

what kind of logic are you using, japanese engineers started developing their stuff pretty darn quickly specially cuz the AAM-3 was made at the same time as the AIM-9M while being superior, they just used their past knowledge on some weapons and tech from the US and started developing their missiles, japan has been known for advancing stupidly fast over other countries, just take a look at the F-2 being the first military aircraft on production with a mounted AESA radar

or in other words “i already have japan grinded out”

Gajin no plans AIM-120C-5 on Tornado F3 late this quarter because not ready. but maybe in the future

Not just F-15C MSIP II armed AIM-120C-5. F-16C Block 50, F-16AM MLU, F-16A Block 20 MLU (ROCAF) and JAS39 Gripen C (HuAF) mounted AIM-120C-5 AMRAAM
