opinions? I already made a report just to see if they’d accept the KMDB source (feel free to make your own too, since mine doesn’t have ALL the sources from here)
but this picture of a welded t-84 turret clearly has a fabric behind it

where?
Oplot composites placeholders or actual armor?
not final
considering KMDB says the oplot has spall liners, and this seems to be kevlar, I don’t know what else it could be
i see only steel. Where you see fabrics?
oplot has only NBC liners
are you blind…?
this is steel
I don’t really see any steel there besides the actual top part, it also has a rough texture, it’s either as you said, the NBC liner, or a spall liner
the UFP should be missing a single 50mm HHRA set, but the first layer of steel is taken off to mount duplet (or in this case, you can see two stacks of nizh/nozh).
turret seems to be final except for the ERA needing protection modifiers
yeah thats what i though aswell turret looked mostly finished but the duplet era is still marked as armored glass and lacking any values
I’d say the turret mostly is, but not the hull.
I am wondering if they’ll model the hull duplet as one single piece of armor, or keep it as two stacks of nizh, if they keep it as two stacks of nizh I can imagine it’ll be pretty trolly
currently they’re modeled as two entire different pieces of ERA, while on tanks like the BVM/90M’s side armor, the ERA is modeled as one piece
I believe the turret only has a set of nizh, so probably 150-200mm like relikt
EDIT: nvm, it is counted as a triple stack of nizh like the sides are irl
and funnily enough, the ERA on the turret is counted as individual blocks
yeah isnt duplet just layerd nizh era in the first place? they both use the same knife concept
yep, that’s exactly what it is.
when mounted seperately or in a single layer it’s just nizh, but when mounted in multiple stacks (two) it is considered duplet as they are combined to work together
I really hope they don’t nerf Oplot’s armor, and that we get a workable gun traverse speed.
In that case, even with just average mobility and mediocre shell, Oplot could turn out to be an EXCELLENT tank.
