if I recall correctly, I’m pretty sure that bit was there before the .23 update, not to mention it’s just a hollowed housing for the ERA, and even if it’s what the datamine refers to as the damper plate, why is it 30mm and not 35mm?
damper plate is between first and second layers of ERA. It is counted as part of ERA efficency at this point.

if that were the case then the first layer of ERA would be 140mm and the second layer would be 140mm + the effectiveness of the damper plate
if it’s made out of HHRA then it should be like 0.8, so 28mm effectiveness

If you have read what Джахед explained about ERA and in-between steel plate calculations, you would note that it is not just 28mm but angled 28mm taken into account.
Actually, ignore that line above, I am also not sure where damper is, so I am not sure where that 28mm plate is, in fact, located, and whether it is taken into ERA account.
And, yet again, they haven’t touched ERA efficency again, which again proves weird inconsistency in interpretation of ERA by devs, manufacturer, and trials

that’s mostly my point when I replied to the datamines, there is nothing showing it, so it’s weird as I said above for a bug reporting manager to just straight up delete the report when it wasn’t even modeled in the first place
there is plenty of empty space in there to add it somewhere in the xray, internal armor, or external armor as just saying “there’s a 35mm plate somewhere in here”, but it’s not even shown :/
With what I have read in RU forum, turns out Oplot hull armor is too funny subject even for bug report mod at this point, so they re-invent stuff in the air, I guess

Oplot T is Oplot M but with some minor edits for Thailand like other radio, ac etc. Basically same vehicle for war thunder. Ukraine was part of USSR in past just like Russia, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic which we have in soviet tree rn.
Just like Ukraine made Oplot. US didnt even use stingrays, only Thailand is using them. 2 identical cases but gaijin pulls out their double standarts instead of just giving oplot to USSR. They dont even have to create entirely new model, its just name and camo. Radio and conditioner dont really mater in war thunder.

Meh, the problem is not 558mm pen, but 630mm and so on. There are no tanks other than Chinese and Soviet having max pen of 558mm even at range.
UFP is going to be penned by DM53/M829A2 and alikes even at ranges, so it is buns lol
That recently added 30mm “frame” somehow tanks better than ERA-layered UFP
Still can be penned by dm53 or similar darts, even though it says 700mm of armor. The ufp has a lot of armor holes as well.
isnt missing two steel plates? one between the composite and 2nd layer of era and a steel plate between the 1st and 2nd layer of era

also just realized the 60mm HRA plate between the era and textolite is there its just not modeled in the composite veiwer in the xray like it is on other T series tanks, still missing small air layer in there tho

As far as I know, there should be a 50mm armor steel layer between the two layers of ERA.

What happens here essentially is the fact that developers count 50mm plate (that by default is part of base armor im reality) as part of Duplet ERA system, and because KE energy protection is rated at 280mm, 170mm from these is 50mm plate @ 68-70° angle. For this reason you don’t see plate in-between but see 140mm KE protection from both ERA plates, even tho the first one should have 220+mm KE protection and the 50mm plate should be independent from ERA system. Devs do not want to fix that because they think it is part of ERA, but then again how come a single tile of Nizh ERA provides 220+mm of KE energy even though it is not supported by said 50mm plate? If we ever see any other tank with 1x Nizh ERA tile, it will have KE protection almost equal to that of 2x Nizh ERA + 50mm HHRHA plate @ 68° angle, which is wild.
