The only way I could see the XM246 getting APDS or proxy fuse is for Gaijin to add one of the other original competing designs for that program, such as General Electric’s submission (I believe it was GE) which was just the A-10’s gun mounted on a Patton chassis.
Also ZA-35, Falcon, AMX-30 DCA with full APDS belt
Nither have full apds belts, they have 1 in 4.
Btw the za-35 doesnt even have apds…
Btw the za-35 doesnt even have apds…
Yet it’s still the best 35mm platform for TD purposes.
Because it uses the same stupidly OP aphe that the xm246 uses… it is also far less survivable and has worse gun handling than the xm
Ah yes then theres france with no 9.7 lineup nor 10.7 lineup.
and so on and so forth for every other tree.
Falcon is a monster for TD but substantially worse for AA, the DCA has no stab and is far easier to hit compared to gepard.
The ZA-35 I dont actually have crewed yet but seems decent, however id rather use the Cheiftain marksman over it.
it is also 8.7
sure its also got worse mobility overall
So facing a boatload of leopards and the likes, sounds fine to me, the M247 loosing it’s AP rounds meant that it can seldom damage targets anymore, having a SPAAG with powerful general use rounds is missing from the US tree currently until the LAV-AD, and 10.0 is where funni, gun SPAAG starts to drop off hard.
Just a little off topic but do we know which source that Gaijin use to make M247 only able to carry half of HE-VT of its full load ? (2/4 instead of 4/4)
There is non, its a balancing thing.
how much pen would the AP have? like 101mm?
That is aproximately it for AP-T at point blank
thats fine
