My point being a united Korean tree shouldn’t be a controversial thing in and of itself, because the nations represented aren’t going to complain, and the wider community has nothing to do with it.

I did and it haven’t said anything about needing forum people to object something in order for that something to be controversial. Issue between Koreas is widely known and bringing them together in literally anything is absurd and highly controversial.
You know, this forum don’t host all of the active players, so you might not find what you’re looking at.
I’m just telling people that supporting unified Korean tree might bring up something they don’t like either, like UA going to USSR or something else entirely. This forum is split on this and I’m telling people they have to make up their mind on this topic.

That’s the difference. There are actually UA playyers but none of the NK players. If there is a massive objection from the South Korean community, then sure, it’s a bad idea to add a uniter Korean tree.
It’s actually why Gaijin added the change flag/operator name function on the dev.

No. UA going to USSR will cause greater controversy than NK and SK joining forces, for the exact reason I demonstrated before. Maybe it’s more absurd, as in illogical, but it will be less contested by all parties concerned. Nk and SK joining a single tree is on the level of putting ROC into PRC tree, but UA in USSR is flaming an active conflict.

I don’t think SK or their people own NK either.
That’s the thing, some people will support something while won’t support something else for reasons, all the while those two being the same exact things. This is called being biased and it has no room in this game.
ROC isn’t a recognized country.
UA isn’t in war with USSR.

**Simple, I am S. Korean, and 99% of the Korean community is actually voting for the United Korean TT. As much as we keep each other as enemies, that’s government politics. It doesn’t matter if you are from South or North. We are all Korean. Part of our constitution literally is in favor of unification.

SK claims to own NK and vice versa.
This game is full of bias, and having a united Korean tree is the least biased take.
Some countries recognise ROC. And ROC and PRC both claim each other. Unless you’re saying the recognition from some country is more valid than others. Now that is bias.
UA is at war with the legally recognised successor state of USSR whose equipment make up the bulk of the tech tree. Does recognition not matter now?

Both countries are recognized by dozens of nations, so I’ll keep using that as a guide.
Do tell me who publicly recognizes ROC ?
Taiwan is literally a part of PRC, even for western nations.
USSR still doesn’t just encompass RU, which is pretty obvious.
Every ex-USSR nation should be eligible at becoming a sub tree for it in the game.

For vast majority of the world, Taiwan is indeed a part of PRC.
That can’t be said for NK being under SK or vice versa.
