I believe Swiss Hornets replaced the Mirages IIIs and Hunter F.58s

F-14D is having an AN/APG-71 that is somewhat Datalink compatible to reach an impressive 740km Range when 2 aircrafts combined their informations (only 370km)
Several upgrades of the radar makes it really much harder to break the lock.
Meanwhile it remains far less multirole (as per design)
The F/A-18 is having an less ranged yet as good radar (which is enough for AIM-120A/B/C5) but is also Multirole → in such it would be the 1st true multirole US Navy fighter alongside a potential Su-33 or MiG-29K (navy variants of URSS)
I feel like it will be implemented in 6 months instead of next update, just because it would be better than a Rafale M F.1 “early” (only carrying MICA-EM and Magic-2 , to replace F-8P “Crusaders/Crouze”)
In such, i think that all Air Navy would recieve a modern aircraft at the same time
The F-14D would only add 9M and better radar → a good way to keep US player in the game for 3 month.
At this point I’d like to ask, why bother with 14D at higher BR when you have similar package 14B at lower BR? Foldering it with 14B would make it redundant to some extent

Your point kind of becomes moot if Hornet is added after the A-7E or AV-8B Plus (if it gets added before)
It makes sense to place it in that line too
F-14D being the last superiority fighter in USN,…
being replaced by Later F/A-18C/D & E/F
I feel like only EA-18G should be in AV-8B line which is more a USMC line than USN one tbh
A potential F/A-18 USMC can be added at the same time the USN one.
Britain should get Canadian CF-18s IMO they’re cooler
Plus CF-18A just looks and sounds better than [roundel] F/A-18A

I guess after F/A-18C might be F/A-18E Block I (2002) with IR SRAAM AIM-9M & AIM-9M-10 and active radar homing MRAAM AIM-120B & AIM-120C-5 AMRAAM

I might expect new attack aircraft at rank 8 after A-7E Corsair II gajin could add AV-8B Night Attack without AN/AAQ-28 Litening II targeting pod before AV-8B Plus but not sure AV-8B Night Attack would be 11.3 or 11.7 BR

The problem with Finnish and Swiss F/A-18Cs is that unlike the F/A-18A and CF-18A which are equipped with Sparrows, being perfectly balanced for 12.3, the Cs are designed to carry AMRAAMs, making them much more capable than existing aircraft. Gaijin could just implement them without AMRAAMs, but there’d be a lot of angry players. German and Swedish mains would certainly be complaining about inaccurate nerfs to their vehicle’s weapons, and the JAS39 and F-15 last update showed us what happens when nations get export models even slightly better than the “home” tech tree’s version.
well considering their gonna be coming in one or two updates they will properly come with AMRAAMs
I don’t know F/A-18A place to USN/USMC fighter line or attack aircraft line
But I guess F/A-18A from USN/USMC older Finnish F/A-18 and RCAF CF-118 (aka CF-18)
That’s not totally true cause Italy should have gotten the JAS-39 due to Italy having Hungary’s vehicles but yet didn’t get it.
The air tree is confirmed to be coming so it will come then

Italy has yet to receive the Hungarian Air Tree Gaijin has said.
I’m 90% sure if they had it they would have gotten it.
I disagree with you here the SAAF Gripen WAS the ONLY choice for Britain as you know SA is a sub tree for Britain so any and all SA tech will go in there.
As for the F/A-18’s the CF-18 is the best choice for our naval line as the SH with the top speed of just shy of 700 Mph won’t be able to do anything.

and the F3 with AMRAAMs can only fly is straight line and is less responsive then a F104 so with no eurofighter we and the Germans will lack a good early AMRAAMs carrier

If anything Germany will probably receive the CF-18 due to them already having Canadas C2A1
