Anyone who gave it more than 30s of critical thought would probably tell you that throwing open a discord with no controls, limits and very patchy moderation would probably not go well.
Combine that with the playerbase’s rather ‘adversarial’ view of Gaijin (and visa versa)?
They did the equivalent of kicking a wasps nest and then mooning at it…

This is cool! I feel sorry for the mods having to delete and ban the trolls, though. I’m sure it will fizzle out once people get their fix. This is certainly a good move since most players don’t use the forum to read news.

There have been unofficial servers floating around for a while that aren’t total cesspools of degeneracy; it is expected that the majority will just join to troll, but it will eventually settle once moderation catches up and the trolls just move on.
Or maybe not, just leave it to the WT community to ruin everything good…

That app is never beating any allegations. Let one sheikh buy and close it. Blocking it was the best decision local internet regulator took. If you want live chat, there exists TS3 or many others.
