I should’ve clarified, not talking about the playerbase. I’m talking about the devs.
Devs still claim it’s dubious no?
General lee stirring the pot didn’t help either
From my understanding, the devs denied it on the premise that the GE we have in game was the early version and we didn’t know if the racks were mounted. However, with the sources and images provided in that thread, it proves that it’s compatible at the very least. I think the bug report was approved but the devs were really adamant on not giving it the dual racks due to insufficient data.
The devs did not do any research on the Ah-64E at all. they seem to think all 64E are of the same version with slight variations but it’s far from that. Each version varied a lot from one another. For example the JAGM is only compatible with V4.5, V6 and V6.5.
It gets exhausting when the devs are hyperfixed on being historically accurate on certain aircrafts but then start taking creative liberties for others.
“if it can mount is or is compatible with it, it would have it” is a very stupid idea by devs. If they are using that logic then i also expect them to give meteor to all f-35 especially American one(When ever fifth gen are added) as it was the first to test it and could also mount it therefore it should also receive it just like M1A2T is getting KE-W A2 round, Just like all AH64E got CIRCM
Its not a new thing, its the reason the F-5C has flares
let me cope
Anyways has anyone made a bug report about AH64E CIRCM being present on all other AH64E besides the Dutch and American one? While we are at it Give all German tank M829A2/A1 as they use l44 cannon and DM53 to all American tank using M256 smoothbore main gun as it is US made l44 cannon and hence DM53 is compatible with it
Someone definitely needs to make a bug report so that only the dutch and the US one has and uses the L-DIRCM irl, bc wtf is this
the highest br heli you’ve used is 12.0, so what point are you trying to make lol
do you think all 13.0 helis should just be completely immune to ir sams? is 8+ f&f missiles not enough? the only thing that is actually killing anything with dircm is a saclos spaa
13.0 sure, but everything without LDIRCM can go down to 12.3 or 12.7 because they simply aren’t as efficient
i personally dont think that would be very fun to have every 13.0 heli just be immune to a whole category of spaa, its not like that irl since irccm is much more effective than it is ingame. i think the apaches were perfectly fine without dircm

“Not enough info” for the UK AH MK.2 btw
BAE offers a fully integratable upgrade that works with the apache’s MAW (AN/AAR-57) with a Leonardo LDIRCM system, just hasn’t been brought by the british MOD
(Source is a BAE press release, just taken from a magazine for simplicity)

If it wasn’t bought by the british MOD, they shouldn’t put it. A similar argument was with the Su30 for the JapaneseTT, that it shouldn’t get Kh38s because they weren’t delivered, but bought, or so. I say as long as it isn’t available in their arsenal, bought and not delivered, they shouldn’t get it. The only ones i know have it, operate it, and the helis are compatible with it (ahem V6), are the US’ and the Dutch’s.
Dutch use AMASE not CIRCM no?
Devs doesn’t care anymore.
I remember they canceled the integration of DIRCM into the AMASE pods, but by Gaijin logic as the AH64E is V6 like the US one, it could get DIRCM as they planned an upgrade for them since 2015 onwards, so im unsure if they genuinely operate them now, 10 years later
no reason to desire it anymore tbh.
i got sources that literally say IIR missiles will just end up following the laser output directly into the emitter
basically useless against IRIS-T, 9X and the future R-74M
