DIRCM is needed more than FnF. When the new spaa were added, it made all helicopters near useless except for two. The Mi-28 and the Z-10ME. Both didn’t have FnF but they did have LDRICM which completely countered new spaas.
You could bring out SACLOS spaa but we all know how that went when going against vikhr slingers

Well, I have and I’ll tell you that it heavily relies on it’s DIRCM to survive. Every nations has some form of IR guidance munitions in top tier and you will at least encounter one person launching one at you. If you don’t have LDIRCM, you will most likely die if it’s from a helicopter or aircraft. If it’s from spaa, you have may have a chance of surviving but it’s heavily dependent on the map.
Again. LDIRCM is what carries a helicopter, it’s good to see other apaches getting it from a balance perspective but it just gets rid of one of the US last “unique” vehicle for nations that don’t even operate or incompatible with this system.

LDIRCM is a whole BR bracket of difference, comparing a UHT or AH60 to Mi-28NM or AH64E remains to be coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb.
One of those can chill near impunity from all threats besides proxy HE, air strafes and a lucky SAMP/T or BUK
While the other is relegated to absolute torture, unable to defend from 70% of the SAMs, completely unable to defend against other helis (which also outrange them btw) and unable to retaliate due to the LDIRCM in question
