One death leavers, why do we as a community allow it?

Played a gane today at 10.7. I cap one point and look at my team. 8 of the 16 were dead and gone. All premiums of course. The 5 free respawns a day help but. Imagine any other 16v16 or any other competitive game where they allow 50% of the team to quit and leave.

Cod, battlefield or dota 2. It never happens. Gaaijn seems totally okay with it. Now, gaaijn has created this problem with premiums allowing people to have just one.

One death leavers just ruin games. Plain and simple. I’m guilty of it very rare but i do it. Larger maps where you can’t shoot enemies as they leave, and more incentive to stay. Idk what the solution is.

But I’m beyond tired of looking at my team and seeing 50% is gone 3min in.

Gaijin already implemented free vehicles and free backups.

Its a player issue. For them its better to search another match and rush cap, than try to retake the cap they lost when dying.

It is not a behavior Gaijin can fix.
Stop shifting responsibility from those that need to take responsibility.
One death leavers are the ones responsible, not Gaijin.

One of things i hated in other games was when they forced me to stay in a game where my team was getting steamrolled in.

Forcing me to sit there and deal with that here would suck

well there are certain measures they can apply. Tho most of them would require the “enlisted”-like lineup behaviour implemented, when they wont let you play untill you have several different type of vehicles in lineup.

Would never happen since it blocks like 90% of their premium tank sales.

Fair enough, tho i dont see that gaijin somehow makes premium players special. They tend to make china players special

the problem roots down to gaijin making high tier premiums for money so at the end of the day its all because gaijin wants money.
the solution in clear and easy but what would gaijin get out of it? nothing.

Blame Gaijin for the grind. It is easy to have a full line up of II WW tanks and planes, but going up BRs many players are happy having one vehicle unlocked with how the ranks and the requirements to advance to the next one are constructed.
If this single vehicle is a premtank, blame Gaijin for selling top tier premium tech.
If player ragequitted because of (pick one):

  • insta spawn camping map
  • random no pen bullshit
  • CAS spam
  • 50th uptier in a row
  • the list goes on…
    thats 50/50 blame - Gaijin and snowflake player

The issue is Gaijin implemented the free vehicles and the 5 daily backups but it made no difference. The Free tanks are completely pointless at least for tanks due to them being completely stock so especially at higher/top tier, no one wants to use a stock tank with no parts and a heat round. Depending on the aa it can be usable but lets say the roland or asrad for example, the stock missiles are some of the worst you can use so never really see people use that either.

Personally i will only really one death leave if its a map i hate and, being an eu player, i see the majority enemy team is none eu and i get gaijin bs and die since the servers are not capable of handling the high ping differences in my opinion.

Exactly! The tanks are mostly useless. If you`re lucky you can get a wheeled machine with autocannon that has at least some sense even stock, but them stock tanks are mosltly useless because HEATFS launcher ingame is basicaly a peashooter.

Roland offers a Roland 3 rocket for some reason. And the OTOMATIC comes with radio HEs. Gaiin made everything so the SPAA would be a better pick than tank

We’d have to see what the difference is in War Thunder that causes this to happen. We also need to investigate why this is happening, since it didn’t happen 8 years ago. Personally, I see horrible things happening in the game that didn’t happen before, like this ODL issue, the constant penetration failures, the damage model errors, the servers that don’t register hits properly, the increasingly smaller maps, or the maps that only focus on CQC. There are many things that have worsened enormously over time in the game, which is why I think the ODL is partly due to these problems. But of course, another part is due to lazy players who, having lost their premium tank, don’t see the point in continuing to play. Personally, the players who played 7 or 8 years ago were very different from those who play now. Just by seeing how they moved around the map, how they covered areas, and how they didn’t use ODL, you realize that today’s players are what the developers have always wanted: people who spend a huge amount of money, don’t complain about anything, and… Play quick matches. For me, all this change to the game over the years has been the devs’ master plan to achieve the ideal player base.

Cod, Battlefield … Look squad, Hll, Reforger, lot of leaver. Same for DCS.

There is plenty of reason. All the team go to opposite to the point ? I leave right now, same if someone shoot like a dumby with this mg at the spawn or a on the way to the point.
As soon an ally die and can’t report this killer on the map or look the map in général way i leave.
