Olifant Optimum should be a Techtree tank, not a premium

Are you REALLY going to add the BEST, and most unique variant of the Olifant as a Premium? REALLY?

Why not just do the Mk1B or something? The Mk1B would make a great premium, it would be like the MK2 we have in game, But with M111 only, and a lack of thermals. I would see NOTHING wrong with that being a Premium.

But adding what is GENUINELY the best POSSIBLE variant of the Olifant, with all the fancy gismos the MK2 was supposed to have before all the budget cuts, is elite Tier money grubbing that needs to be protested against.

There is no reason to put a tank this unique, and powerful, as a Premium. Period. This is like if you added the Challenger 3, or M1A2 SEPV3 as a premium with no tech tree version.

Unique one off prototype not used in service outside of testing and isn’t from Britain itself 🤷‍♀️ seems like premium/event material

Rooikat MTTD, The TTD, the ZA-35, Concept 3.

All the same thing you just said, In the Techtree.

The Olifant Optimum was the evolution of the TTD program, the TDD was never meant to be a REAL tank, it was a design study for the most part, It would have seen ALOT of changes if it ever entered production. And the Optimum is what all that effort went into, and only didn’t enter serial production due to budget cuts.

What all filled gaps in the tree. This doesn’t really fill anything 🤷‍♀️

It would give the brits a 10.0 MBT again, so that the now 9.7 Light tanks like the MTTD, and VFM-5, have a place to be used, without having to be dragged up into 11.3+ matches.

U mentioned the reason: powerful xD. It should be tt, ofc, but this is also a very good tank for grinding uk (The Challenger would be enough, but hes high tier which can be annoying for grinds). I’d prefer doing it like the M60A1 Rise p; a normal tt and a fancy camo version for prem. But Im not the holy snail

its not even going to be THAT powerful, its effectively a Less mobile TDD, with way worse hull armor.

its only really gonna be useful hull down due to the Centurion hull.

And you will always find a good spot at maps for hull down. But if Gaijin would handle it with unique → tt and unique+camo of a battle → prem, it would be nice

it is annoying that the only 10.0 non SPAA for britain is premium ZA

But just be happy its here and dont whine for once

that is such a pathetic outlook dude.

GENUINELY.

There is no reason for this tank, to be a Premium. Period.

The Mk1B would make a infinetly better Premium, you could have the MK2’s improved protection, But with a worse shell, sights, and no thermals, at a lower BR. 9.0-9.3 would be the perfect spot for the Mk1B.

the only pathetic bit here is the endless threads from you whining about crap that doesnt matter.

There isnt a premium olifant, this one makes sense to be it as its not just another centurion like the CMT or 5/1.

Dont buy it if your knickers are in such a twist

And we lost the 10.0 Fv4030 / TTD in the same area for no reason. Decompression nato/non-soviet tanks, but Soviet don’t move too.

Next step, 12000lbs bomb review ? Helldivers is doing again, do we ?

decompression. and i do think the TTD is well worthy of BR 10.7 in current compression constraints.

I dont think optimering will stay at 10.0 personally. as its getting fleshed out its getting to be very strong. Its turret armour is comparable to the leo 2a5 after all and chieftain mk10 is no stranger to BR punishment for a thick forehead, Optie will probably have a similar fate

This is russia thunder what can i say.

Typical greedy Gaijin gatekeeping unique vehicles. Completely agree there were better alternatives.
