I hate Arcade Air and ESPECIALLY Arcade Ground
And with Naval I’ve played mostly RB.
BUT
Starting around 6.0 I find Arcade Naval to be incredibly fun. My Light and Heavy cruisers can stay in a match longer and actually manage to do things before they get obliterated by the BC and BB spam, since the overly simplified aiming means I can start getting rounds down range almost immediately and without interruption.
Why do people say it’s dead? I see more people in Naval Arcade (real people) than RB most times.

People thought that making the aiming system easier was going to kill the game mode.
I need to play more naval, and I’ll likely play more once I get ZTZ-99A in China.
Glad you’re having fun, Rikers.
Well you have a fire rate advantage over the battleships, and the aimbot nullifies any practical range issues you get with cruiser guns. Then, all you need is to get a tiny glimpse of their superstructure one time or have an ally nearby and you can target with perfect accuracy. In my experience, this leads to spawn-to-spawn shooting, and even spawncamping on destroyer maps. There’s much less value in soft cover in AB as well, since the enemy can just shoot over it and hit every time.
All of this causes a drastically lower time to kill such that even in my best lineups, I sometimes find myself using up all my spawns - every match if I’m playing coastal. Seriously, if you want tanks on water, play AB coastal because you will die instantly if someone gets a firing angle on you.
As for players, AB is obviously not dead. The player numbers are awful when compared to the other parts of the game and you still see some bots there, but it vastly outweighs RB. Negating (most) of the aiming skill gap between noobs and veterans by having the computer aim for the player is a draw for those who like fast gameplay, if I had to guess. Tankers are already used to this play style of snap shots and low time to kill. Difference is, a lot of ground play styles are dependent on positioning and hard cover, which Gaijin really doesn’t like to let naval players have. I feel like every update now they remove islands because some bot ran aground, so they decided it was “too difficult to navigate.”
the aiming system just feel a little too powerful no skill required, the shell will land whatever place you aim. Now Naval RB is just free bot and SL grinding.
Yeah, see, the thing is, in RB, once you hit BR 6.0 in Realistic, if you don’t have a BC and BB lineup OR at least a meta Heavy Cruiser you’re complete boned. Hence why I am lauding Arcade. I’m well aware no skill is required in Arcade, but I’d rather play no skill required Arcade than have constant misery in my 6.0+ Cruisers against BC and BB spam in RB, or be forced to play 5.7 and below.
Yes I agree with that totally. Getting 1-shotted immediately after spawn is just not great in RB
