Fun fact, Merlin valve covers have 33 studs holding them on

Enjoy this completely useless piece of trivia

Also useless trivia, the camshaft is hollow and an oil galley, each one feeds all the cam towers
So a modern mod is you edm drill a hole on the front side of the cam lobe to tap into it and ensure the valve fingers always have oil and don’t have to rely on splash lubrication.

Pair of RNZN SH-2G(I) Seasprites flying over Auckland today. Sadly it’s quite overcast, so the photo quality Isn’t the best.

What’s up chat, i have a somewhat weird question, what is the biggest range from which an air to air kill was made by guns of any type (turrets included) (aka longest range gun a2a kill)?

Spoiler

Not going to pretend or something, but hitting a gun kill at 2,7 km was hella rewarding ngl even tho dude was flying in a line (maybe there were even more interesting shots idk)

Hi guys if i upload some pictures and a video can you help me identify some stuff?? like the ammunition caliber or the gun in a tank because i have some hard time?

Got to see some cool static displays at Cosford Airshow today.

I was today years old when I found out what the (George S.) Patton family currently has a business selling in Massachusetts.

F-101C is a very clean plane and it regularly takes showers and it thoroughly uses shampoo and soap every time

In light of the faster suggestion passes, anyone have a particular vehicle they’re suggesting?

I stumbled on a few good pages for the M1917 in Canadian service, so doing that.

Tho primarily waiting to hear back from someone so I can do the Centurions in Canadian service.

Probably gonna do some digging and find a weird CVRT variant I could suggest

(A lot of the fun ones already have been suggested though)

Could give an UAE Scorpion a try I guess

I personally am currently trying to pass:
Lithuanian reconnaissance planes ANBO IV and 41
British patrol boat class Scimatar
Czechoslovakian minesweeper OMm35

I’m also planning to try and fix the issues of BNS Madhumati and the 2 ANBO IV prototype suggestions

I’m planning to do the Samuel Beckett class and some Czechoslovakian low tier vehicles.

I’m also planning to do some more Polish naval but I’m unsure if someone else is working on those suggestions (I remember talking about it months ago on a WT discord and can’t remember who)
