Heck yeah. I highly recommend seeing Bat-21 (1988) if you haven’t already. Danny Glover as the O-2 pilot is great.
In the movie it’s mainly used for recon - tracking and keeping contact with the colonel, and conducting recon on villages for airstrikes to be called in by F-105s.
I was watching a livestream (on YouTube) of a coast in Japan waiting for the Tsunami, and the camera man panned his camera to look into peoples hotel rooms like some voyeur all of a sudden, lol. He then started waving his hand in front of the camera. The stream cut shortly after that. Was so random.
Custom car built in the 60s by a man named John Dodd it was originally powered by a meteor engine but it burnt down on a return trip from a trip to Sweden from the UK and he rebuilt it with a Merlin engine
I’m sure the fire had nothing to do with the Meteor engine X)
what I find hilarious thought is that the man was so unphased by the first fire he decided that an engine meant for a tank was too easy and decided screw it, lets stick a notoriously maintenance heavy airplane engine in it instead!
His wikipedia page is also a goldmine:
Dodd, who was an eccentric, was known to fly under bridges, over his neighbour’s houses, and would often practice touch-and-go manoeuvres, to the extreme of renting a Hawaiian aeroplane to attempt a such a manoeuvre at Pearl Harbor runway, only deterred by a radio-communicated threat of being shot-down.
I would like to think I am, but he still has to learn the weak spots of German tanks, I’ve taught him how to cupola snipe, but panthers are still a problem for him to deal with. I’ve been learning too though, I never really had to worry about if I could pen a vehicle like a Tiger or not as a British main, but now I am learning new things like how I can UFP a T-34-85 with a 75mm sherman
