Yeah, fraction of the distance for me, probably no more than 2 hours via train. But having done commuting to college via train, I tend to avoid train travel when I can and also means I dont have to deal with the tubes
I didnt get many good pictures cuz i always get horse blinders on and get too focused on the exhibits, but this is what i got.
Darlington is worse lmo, the thing is basically a windtunnel as it’s an old Victorian, plus I could never find the waiting rooms lmao
Guess you missed the harrier then? (They have a very nice GR.9 hanging in the main lobby, but unless you go right to the top it’s fairly easy to miss)
I dont know why i didnt get a picture of the harrier lmao it was literally right there
My least favorite station is Prestonpans just east of Edinburgh.
I once got stuck there on a LNER service to Glasgow (I was heading to Perth) and got stuck there for 7 hours due to a signalling fault
Could be worse, I snapped some photos last time I was there, but my camera was new to me at the time and I screwed up the focus lmao, was a harrier though vaseline or something
Well this was your mistake lmao
In my defense my sister decided to get married there. I still haven’t figured out why.
Managed to con an aunt into giving me a lift to St Andrews, so wasn’t a complete wash.
Inverness is the ticket in Scotland. Really cozy little town. 15 minutes from Culloden or loch ness. And the famous book store there really is that good.
Aye, I’ve been trying to drag the wife that way for ages, but it’s kinda hard getting everything to line up in terms of booking time of work is a pain. Plus I’ve been trying to con her into grabbing the sleeper train, but she keeps refusing lmao.
Honestly next time im up that way i might not come back. Fort George is up there too and its gorgeous.
Love to get to scapa flow someday. So much underwater archaeology there and nobody has done it.
When I went last year they did yes.
Nice! I’ll have to drag the other half there
Released another one; funny thing is I picked up on the “Borealis” reference from they release day of the map, as it was soon after I had played Portal 2 for the fist time in a while!
Oh so they ARE referring to the Aperture laboratories ship aren’t they?
It’s the only ship with those capabilities with that namesake ever thought up, so I’d have to assume.
I see your peasant food and raise you Japanese perfection, Doria
Is that rice with cheese?
It’s a Japanese rice gratin, cooked white rice base, with a layer of meat sauce, and then topped with cheese. It’s very good imo, if I didn’t have to watch my intake, I’d have it every night lmao.
