- “M” Model, for all things used by the Army and Marines that was in service.
- “T” Test, for all things that was in service test, prototyping, or just in blueprints.
USSR
- “SU-” Samokhodnaya Ustanovka or self-propelled carriage, use for all SPGs, Tank Destroyers and Assault Guns
- “T-” tankovyi or Tank, use by almost every tank, just a few didn’t use “T” such as KV, IS, and SMK.
- “BT-” Bystrokhodnyi Tank or Fast Tank, used by the BT-2 and BT-5 tanks.
France
- “AMX” Atelier de Construction d’Issy-les-Moulineaux or Workshop Construction of Issy-les-Moulineaux, used by all tanks made by AMX.
- “FCM” Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée or Ironworks and Yards of the Mediterranean, used by the FCM-36 (not yet in this game)

Aircraft are more favorable for names. Tanks are usually not because of regs and standards IIRC.
It’s not like how the Black Tulip got its name, or US crews are allowed to name their tanks.
