History:
The GDF family of vehicles were developed in the 1980s by Oerlikon-Bührle as an effort to have a mobile platform to use the towed Oerlikon GDF-001 to attack low flying aircraft, helicopters and ground targets.
A total of four variants were made/designed, those being:
GDF-C02

GDF-C03

GDF-D02

GDF-D03

The chassis of the C02 is a armored cab variant of the M548 tracked load carrier, itself a variant of the M113 APC. It is almost 4 times as slow as the the top speed of the C02 is 45kmh while the D03 has a top speed of 120kmh. The chassis seems to be unarmoured. The C02 and C03 share this chassis while the D02 and D03 had the Hydrokran Corporation NIBUS which proved to be much faster.
While the GDF D03 and GDF C03 has a radar based off the ADATS, the C02 lacks it.
None of the GDF variants ever entered service, though it’s implied that the C02 had work stopped on it first as the D03 was still being trialed when the C02 was cancelled.
I believe that this would be a nice addition as it is a variant of a unique vehicle not present in game. Ideally it would be foldered with the D03 (Or D02) at a lower br due to a much worse worse mobility, less protection and lack of radar.
Specifications:
The crew consists of 3, commander, gunner, and driver: two in the cab and one operating the gun.
Armament consists of twin 35mm Oerlikon KDA autocannons with a rate of Fire of 2 × 600 rounds per minute (1,200 rpm combined). It’s ammunition feed is a dual drum magazines, 430 rounds per gun with a effective firing range of up to 4,000 meters (air targets).
Mobility:Max speed is 45kmh and max range is 480km
Size+Protection: The chassis is a unarmoured M548, which is 2.81 meters tall, 2.68 meters wide, has a length of 5.89 and weighs in at around 12.8 tons.
