“War Thunder releases equally powerful vehicles across multiple tech trees.” hahaha this is a joke? for example kh38 or pantsir how much time dominate toptier?? now gaijin added for mi28 lmur missile yeah equally powerful for all nations:D… eurocopter same bv with mi28 and z10 really equall… now gaijin nerf irst slm to be acual with buk 3 no? and wait for another leopard2 nerf… because is “realistic”
I already understand a long time that “realism and historical” (hello yak-141 weaponry) work only when Gaijin see it suitable for themselves. But planned weapons to UHT for make it capable absolutely no…
its only a problem because meta shifted to vehicle with none or next to none effective counterplay, like Mi28NM + LMURs offer right now.
terminal ARH SAMs + airborne ARH missiles dont work because multipath, terminal IR SAMs + airborne IR missiles dont work because LDIRCCM being bugged to hell and back.
SACLOS AA doesnt have range in most cases + its a matchup of SACLOS AA vs FnF Heli.
At this point, T-14 Armata instead of LMURs would be preferable, and that tank will be pure guesstimation, and not even educated one at that. With our luck tho, we will have both Armata AND LMURs.
When meta shifted to Leopard 2A7, sure it is a good tank with really good kit but can be countered by any of the MBTs already present in game. Its the same Leo 2A6, just with fewer weakspots. Well placed 3BM60 will still disable it.
28NM was fixed and its no longer 360° force field bubble being capable of countering infinite amount of missiles? As far as Im aware its still in this bugged state and has been since dev.
While Ah-64 Es in effectiveness vs ground for me as a long time heli player is equally strong as the LMURs (comparable speed, same range, good enough lofting, same tracking/locking (i think, ir+iog but maybe LMUR is less prone to lock onto dead tanks when the target it is locked on gets close to them due to higher lofting??) but not as effective vs single target BUT you have more of them, so 2 vs tanks is usually enough, you have much more of them to overwhelm sams that are trying to intercept them and you have a lot more of them vs aa and light targets (where usually 1 jagm is enough) so id say its equal → weaker vs mbts but stronger vs light targets and spaa)
basically the only thing that makes the mi28nm much better is its main gun. While the ah64 is basically the new tiger uht of top tier (massive bullet drop, inaccuracy and muzzle velocity of its shells means that unless a plane is flying basically straight towards you the chances to defend vs a plane coming for you is almost 0) while the mi28nms gun, well…lets just say i onetapped an enemy jet in the mi28nm going about mach when he was already past me, about 70° behind me and about 2.5 km away tracking him third person when he was flying past, holding the heli still and shooting for about a second. That gun is a laser somehow…i dont even want to know for how long you would have to shoot at a completely static target with the apaches gun to get a single shell on target and quite possibly a “hit” at that range…
and likewise i have been onetapped in my ah64e by a mi28nm that dipped onto the ground and was basically out from over 3 km away, while i was constantly maneuvering to dodge his gun without getting a single shell on him while shooting from the main gun for something between 5 to 10 seconds.
28NM LDIRCM is underneath just behind where the fuselage curves up, they tried to limit its coverage to only the area it can see, but they somehow duplicated its coverage above and below
so it has a blind spot just under the nose, and just above the tail in game
Yeah, the gun is ridicolous…it has basically no bullet drop (somehow) while…maybe the apaches gun does track but because of the low muzzle velocity and the resulting bullet drop the shells never reach those distances, and even if they do the spread is so big that its pointless shooting at these distances. And then the shells are HEDP which, correct me if im wrong somehow seem to work like some sort of low caliber heat which most of the times do nothing if they hit a planes wings or anything thats not an important module while the MI28nms HEF-I seems to just onetap anything that flies
Don’t know about that, but unless youre going for dumb rocket close range runs vs planes apds would be worse anyhow or not? The ground targets belt is also a big problem here, because unless that was changed the muzzle velocity of the whole belt (which on the MI28nm holds apds- apt- and then 2x HEF-I is only dependent on the first round which sets the velocity for the whole belt resulting in the mi28nms gun with 2/4 rounds hef-i having an insane muzzle velocity)
ok, well then the ah1z could definitely benefit from that, but its gun is already much better than the ah64es (vs plane threats) while having aim 9ms, but no f&f weaponry and no lirdcm, so…
for me the main problem would be that in comparison to all other helis (and especially to the ah64s) the main gun of the mi28nm is just way too overtuned…
I have the opposite experience, anything the M230 touches violently explodes but hitting anything at any kind of range is a miracle
it’s the same problem with the 1W/Z 20mm gun, the velocity is so low autotrack only starts to reliably hit at like 500m. Most of the ammo belts in the Mi-28/Ka-52 2A42 start with an AP or APDS shell, and with how ammo belts in War Thunder only use the 1st shells velocity for the entire belt, so you can have 30mm AP-I and HE-I flying out of the gun with the M/V of a sabot round.
yeah that’s what im saying…and the velocity and damage from the standart belt with ap-t as the first round is already very good with literally 0 bullet drop putting it already miles above the measly speed, bullet drop and accuracy of the ah64s, you can even (wrongfully, at least for the two HEF-I shells that follow and will onetap anything out of the air) increase that by running ground target belts…
Kh-38MT and Hammer were released 2 years after AGM-65D/G was allowed to dominate across multiple tech trees.
Pantsir being added changed nothing at top ground.
Pantsir was and still is weaker than top CAS.
@NER055
Tiger UHT was never a service vehicle or combat prototype?
Since when?
Nope, it was a service vehicle.
Comparing it to Kikka is a false equivalence fallacy.
