Objective play should be encouraged, not discouraged

Caps already contribute a lot to RP, just not in the same way.

All rewards in WT have the instantaneous component (that you see pop up on screen) and the often larger component via the mechanic of score that is only seen at the end of game. This applies both to RP and SL awards. You only see the results added together in the end game results screen.

Just because it wasn’t in the popup doesn’t mean that cap didn’t contribute. The 300-ish points of score added significantly to battle activity % which leads to a significant RP gain as well.

Teamwork, supporting fire, best squad, all provide SL.

All of these are obtainable through the auto join squad feature.

Actions either kill or capture or any other effect that provides SL has extremely low RP rewards. The majority of RP is given through timed played + activity percent. This is reflected in the score screen.

“Skill Reward” was added to contribute additional RP for increased “skill” during the battle. I believe captures should also contribute towards this as it’s the second most active thing you can do besides killing.

Counting the capture towards the skill reward would help alleviate this. It would count as +1 for all players who earn the capture.

Too easy to game. Only one person can get one kill. The entire team could rush the close cap and all get the extra bonus.

Why would this matter?

For starters because of the inherent advantage it gave to small light vehicles, encouraging their greater play. Also all those players having those extra SP would lead to a lot more CAS. Plus most players capping would increase the effectiveness of artillery, leading to more cheap kills from the closely concentrated targets.

If you wish to provide further rationalization then you can but this was already discussed. Start from here please.

Nah I’m good dude. It’s just yet another of your transparently bad idea threads, nothing new or interesting, really.

And, yet again, as per damn usual, you ignore the point made to merely repeat your nonsense…

Jesus christ, you learn nothing.

What is your point?

If my idea is transparently bad you should have very little issue stating why. Simply saying “it’s bad” doesn’t provide value to the thread other than to include your personal affirmation which isn’t generally what a discussion thread is meant for. I would prefer comments help refine the general idea.

My point was addressing your erroneous claim that there were no rewards, which is blatantly false.

Like, dude, you’re just spamming ignorance at this point.

Where did I claim there were no rewards?

There…

Your blinkers on approach even has you spouting things you don’t even acknowledge.

You’ve written off that entire cycle from just ‘teamwork’ being that is just you being nearby when they get a kill, where supporting fire is actually assisting them directly, and best squad comes from being the best overall…

And whilst you don’t think this does much, if you can constantly get it, it’s better hence you should be squading, not just relying on the autosquadies.

What do you think this means lol

In the context of the conversation I was discussing the squad rewards and how there is very little rewards generated from being in a squad. There are other medals yes, but their rewards a minimal and the game’s auto squad feature makes them passive already.

So yes I’ve written off the rewards because the rewards are ~3000 SL which is enough to pay for ammo costs I guess. The discussing thread’s topic is RP, research points. SL is already obtainable at an accelerated rate due to the dynamic repair costs. I don’t find much issue with SL currently.

Equally for actions like kills there is now a direct RP reward mechanic tied to getting multiple of them. As I pointed out in the thread previously I would like this same increase to include objective play as they’re currently excluded from the increased RP generation.

Visual example.

Yea nah, you’re just avoiding the point entirely now… The rewards are there, and they stack. The more you have a larger squad the more you get paid, and the fact that you don’t squad other than the autosquadie makes you miss out on the constant reward.

Why have it add to the skill bonus when there could be a “tactic bonus” or something.
