Object 640 (Black Eagle)

Duplet is weak in game to my understanding.

According to the way the tests went IRL I suppose that’s most plausible?

I hope with the leaks of this being in a event falling threw means it will end up in the tree. The final form of the T-80 concept but it sort of the final push of the cold war Russian tank concept. It will likely do well in game though with infantry it will be drone food.

same to me, same bro…

It won’t be TT. That would be silly as the T-58 being a TT vehicle. Everyone should be annoyed by that. I bet somehow that autoloader won’t match the design drawings we’ve seen, the armor profile won’t match the more realistic model but rather the dummy turret/mock up just like the IS-6 but worse.

I would like to see it, but preferably in a way that makes sense. They still didn’t get the Abrams right (it’s missing a lot of bulkhead fuel cell armor), and the turret ring is missing 100-127mms so of effectiveness LOS. Them saying they aren’t willing to do the 640 as they cannot figure out that duel Autoloader system is telling. They have no issues with inaccurately doing something to a certain extent.

The best compromise is to have a duel carousel, and bustle Autoloader as the bustle would be for the long rods. But seems as if you’d still have charges in the hull. You’d just have a many slightly faster T-80 with the same old bad gun handling. Basically what the Oplot should be but with slightly less protection.

Considering the performance of Monolith ERA vs Duplet’s performance against 3bm42 and the fact we know the T-14’s armor layout wasn’t as thick as everyone assumed it was… I don’t think it would be
Busted. Depending on how you model all that data we publicly know of. M829A3 ion top of autocannon fire might be a massive problem.

Because only the BVM and 90M could reliably have some decent armor. Which may not be fun. Idk if Obj 195 has the APS but that’s gonna be the only saving grace. As it can intercept up to 2000m/s allegedly.

That sounds like them to F-14D that. I’d rather it be an event if they force something on the community after saying “we can’t accurately model important things”. Hell they still haven’t modeled T-80 and BMPT turret baskets. Obj 640 is just extra extra work to do as you’d need to make it up 70% of the way.

at least the F-14B is the same aircraft for now with the -D, the obj 195 hasn’t or will have not an equal in the TT

Isn’t there key differences with the D having access to an actual better missile? At least the last dev server showed this lol. It ain’t exactly “the same”. But the engines seem to be.

T-80BVM with Burlak module and with enough cope it could use Vakuum-1/2.

irl yes in game they are the same plane with the -D having a better electronics, the weaponry is the same

Not quite the case from what I’ve heard. There’s a guy who gets very heated about it if you say “It’s just an F-14B”…. I won’t be accidentally summoning him.

You TAKE HIM!

Personally I think the Oplot got oversold to people and the player base was let down. I find the Oplot to just be a okay vehicles with a enjoyable and simple play style.

Ehh, the ERA doesn’t perform in line to real life it seems. Doesn’t make sense for Duplet to put perform Monolith ERA on the T-14 against 3bm42 (same round). Unless Monolith is substantially weaker than Relikt. Which to me doesn’t make sense when the actual hull armor array is at a lesser angle than the plate of the T-90M and isn’t as thick as eveyone previously thought.

It’s not a tank that would benefit from less auxiliary protection. That defeats the purpose of the vehicle. Especially when the turret has essentially 0 real protection even against AP rounds from a Bradley aside from thin sheet metal.

So either Relikt is dramatically over performing (with K5 slightly over-performing), Duplet is substantially underperforming (therefore the Oplot is), 3bm42 is stronger than modern rounds today against heavy ERA, or the T-14 hull is somehow less protected against certain threats than the T-90M? Which one is true? I don’t know. But I’ve been told it’s likely Duplet is just underperforming.

Who knows at this rate. I think all those guesses have some plausibility.

The thing is, people made incorrect assumptions; the Armata’s frontal armor isn’t the solid block everyone imagined which would likely have made the front end too heavy. It does have thick frontal armor, but it’s spaced and incorporates ERA that is far heavier and more effective than Relikt. The Armata’s frontal armor is likely impenetrable in that area much like the Obj 195’s, though the 195 might be slightly less armored at the front. As for the turret, forget the old ideas; it follows the same design as the 195. If both the 195 and the Armata were added to War Thunder, the gameplay would basically consist of spending 30 seconds repairing the gun or breech they’d both be tank repair simulators.

And the Obj 195 would easily be top-tier not something that’s game-breaking, but something that would render your tank’s armor useless at any range. Man, look at that thing, it’s beautiful. The T-90M is my favorite tank, but I have a real passion for the 195 concept.

The Duplet performs worse; however, it is worth noting that the Ukrainians removed two layers of composite armor from the Oplot chassis which is based on the T-80UD making its armor configuration resemble that of the T-80B, its not the same as T80U, and duplet its not good as relikt, is more like a ukrainian version of K5 in their T80UDs

We already have Obj 292, so anyone can (and did) taste 152mm dart in their general direction (not to mention the HE)
