To my experience it was constant 8.7 or 9.3, making 8.7 vehicles somewhat playable. Although I cant understand how XM-1s are still 9.3, 8.3s cant lay a finger on it and it outmatches them in every way, just like it outmatches most 9.3s. Thankfully despite being once taken into every match, with addition of M1 KVT its not as often now.
People cries right after the post-compression where they moved most of the early cold war era tanks to 8.0 and affect the players count at certain br, which the 8.7 always goes full downtier, like 3 out of 10 matches was 8.7 facing 9.7, the rest was 8.0 and some 7.7. Object 279 was the only one last heavy tank at the br, people wouldn’t want it to have more armor than the rest of the medium tanks by always bringing up the mobility and top speed as an argument. People will still be quiet if 8.7s constantly get sucked into the 9.7 black hole.
I see it at 9.3 easy, it is too hard fast strong and powerful
The Object 279 was switched around plenty of times before landing in its BR it stands with today. It’s a heavy tank. Just like many other Late Heavies 7.7 is the perfect BR to balance, it can face a combination of BR’s but wont go exceptionally high to where its unplayable. Comparably the Conqueror stands at 7.7 and it can dominate or fail depending on the player even if its in a downtier, or an uptier. More than not you are getting your barrel shot.
