KD isnt everything its a supporting source not a primary the MIG-29-9.13 is more than fair to go against the F15A the F15A has better FM and better seeker performance at range for the AIM-9M but at close ranges the R73 is better. the MIG-29 the only advantage the 29 has is R27ER and everything else is roughly even.

most of the KD difference anyways is from the MIG 23MLD vs F4E which isnt really a fair fight

and before anyone says the 9L makes even your wrong the R60M also got a seeker BUFF making it impossible to flare in head ons if you dont move it happens with the 9L aswell but the 9L pulls less of the rail even preflaring wont stop it 100% so the R60M has slight edge in this mode

Thanks, I managed to nuke 2 times in a row now, the first time I removed about 4 or 5 buk/s300 sites and the 2nd time I just removed the nearest buk from spawn evaded the s300 by notching once or twice.

When you get near the base the SAMs seem to stop targeting you

Joined into a match where the enemy team only had 5 points left, which meant the moment i took off from the airfield, match was already over

Because as soon as someone like Alvis the hero of the Soviet Union, spawncamps them trying to get their big nuke drop, they leave. Since they spent the last hour trying to earn it and he spent the entire hour loitering in space, while arguing on this forum waiting for you to spawn. The entire nature of this event is promoting the most toxic behavior possible in an arena with unlimited respawns.

You unfortunately can’t control how people play. Some play team based some play for their gain and that’s really the extent of it.

The wins really end up being who worked best as a team and focused wiping airfields vs big nuke which is easily shot down by a camper

I havent seen them respawn myself so I cant say if they do but normally if you can take those systems out the friendly b52 or tu95 should have the time to drop the bomb.

Yeah, I agree. I had one of those exactly like that yesterday. I personally do not mind going into ongoing battles, I leave the “join active battles” on. But getting into a match that is immediately over is too much.

For this event I think a point based threshold would be much more appropriate, even as a time based would not be adequate. Something like 50% to 75% of tickets gone maximum would be “OK”. Even 75% might be pushing it. Any lower and the match is probably only going to last another 5 to 10 minutes.

only the radars respawn iirc, if you take the launchers out they should be gone for the rest of the match

this event turned to an incredible clownfest, neither b52 or tu95 stand a single chance anymore Lmao and thanks to this stupid score bug the game owes me about 11000 score that was NOT counted towards the mark

Thats how it should work but it seems completely random if the S-300/Patriot actually do their job and intercept the strat bombers. B-52 seems a lot less likely to be shot down by GBAD as well.

I honestly think one of the biggest issues of this event is how easy it is to strat bomb the base and win, between how fighterjocks arent penalized for anything in terms of SP and the theater level GBAD not reliably shooting down the strat bombers, the game often ends right around the time 3rd escalation is hit.

I also kind of think the escallation levels are too fast. First escallation is hit before any meaningful damage is done to ground targets, and usually occurs before ive completed 1 sortie, and second and 3rd arent too far behind if ppl start tossing nukes.

Doubling the mission point requirements to escalation levels and halving or quartering SP gained from air to air kills would be a huge step in the right direction imo.

Lock warning? nah. Launch warning? You mean Lunch? Any missile alarm? Who’s Miss Ile, and why do we have to be alarmed??? And this is every game btw. Meanwhile the second i see anyone with 2 kills on their team, spawn a nuke, rush our airfield completely unharmed, completely ignored by AA, ofc no way to use my missiles on them, radar lock doesnt work, IR missiles goes for flares, aaaaand BOOM. Peak gameplay frfr. Hopping on the next battle right now, as I am writing this lovely message!

peak gameplay is basic R60s and 9Ls turning into R74M2 and AIM9X Block 2 for 0 reason (have yet to be able to flare any 9Ls or R60S that arent launched 6km out, thanks gaijin)

I mean, they would, cuz nobody likes their playstyle “nerfed”, but the majority of fighter players arent playing the mode at all. They’re just trying to play their regular air rb in nuclear thunder, and rushing to end the game asap so they can feel good about themselves or something. It would objectively be a lot healthier for the gamemode if fighterjocks couldnt rush end the game as easily as they can rn.

It wouldnt actually change their gameplay loop at all, they’d just need to get more kills to try to ruin everyone elses fun. For everyone else though, the match would last longer and you could actually complete more objectives before a strat bomber was spawned.

Whats the point of putting all this work into objectives if you’re still gonna make the easiest way to win the game early be not play the objectives at all?
