Nuclear Thunder!

just load up a single 5000 then if the difference is that small.
besides basically every bomb in the “fat bomb” family uses TGA. so why would the 9000 suddenly not

It is the Soviets. Im sure the designers had some order for it and didnt question the top brass.

Maybe they had good reasons or maybe they didnt.

Those R-24s and point blank shot R-60s which 9Ls can’t hit really do make a difference.
Now try that with an F-4E that can’t lock anything that isn’t at least 500m off the ground.

Fr! How do I make my F-4E work?

or maybe basically no documentation on the fab 9000 exists so instead of using what makes sense we use what occurred to bvvd in a dream
(as always with cases like this)

also it being the soviets itd be weird to add production lines when you can instead cram the same tga-16 in there that youre already mass producing for its smaller cousins

If you can find anything that changes it, let me know. I would love it if it was a new funny pe8 mini-nuke.

Every webpage i look at lists it as TNT and not TGA-16.

thing is that i can probably cart an actual fab 9000 to the gaijin hq doorstep for them to look at and they still wont change it because its not a paper straight from the russian state military archive

I have a few opinions
1.The SEED aircraft should be replaced. The American A6E and A7E fly too slowly, and the high AA interception strength in the battle prevents anti-radiation missiles from performing as effectively as expected. Ultimately, this is because the aircraft are too slow. I think that if they were replaced with supersonic planes like the F-4 or even the F-16, the AGM-88 could perform better. As for Soviet aircraft, could we consider adding higher-performance anti-radiation missiles like the Kh-31P?
2. In future adjustments, I suggest removing the level restrictions. Imagine how fun it would be to fly aircraft like the SU-30 SM2 or F-15 across such a large map. Perhaps this goal can be achieved through better matchmaking restrictions, and just like you do in land battles, you could add some free aircraft. Advanced matchmaking could feature planes like the F16A, ADF, or MiG-29, while lower levels would remain as they are now, with the MiG-23MLD and F-4E (maybe the F-4E could be replaced with the F-4J?).
3.The AI air defense strength on both sides needs adjustment. The Soviet BUK system has an extremely powerful radar system. In my gameplay, even when I was flying close to the sea in the map, the Soviet BUK system could still launch missiles and shoot me down under conditions where it should have been completely impossible to detect me. Meanwhile, the American side also needs an air defense system that matches the BUK (to be honest, the effectiveness of the HAWK compared to the BUK is still quite lacking).
4. I know you tested a lot of new mechanisms in this mode: anti-radiation missiles, electronic warfare, theater-level air defense, and super large maps, all of which are amazing. My suggestion for improvement is that maybe in the future you could add planes like AWACS, allowing AI to control them to patrol near the main airport. Also, for nuclear bombs of different yields, after reaching the score requirement, you could add some cool sound effects, such as voice lines like: ‘The situation is escalating, authorization granted to use higher-yield bombs’ / ‘Let’s use bigger bombs to blast them away.’
5. Perhaps in the future, monsters like the B-1B or TU-160 could also be added. These supersonic beasts might be given higher respawn point requirements, such as 2800 or even 3000, allowing them to bomb the enemy’s main airfield at low altitude at supersonic speeds (for example, another event could be held and these two planes could be treated as the ultimate prizes).
6. Did you really not notice that the scale of the trees on the map is incorrect, or did you already know and use it as a way to punish low-altitude flying players? The height of trees is completely different on different maps. For example, the trees on the Frank Islands map are relatively normal, only about a dozen meters high, but on maps like the one in this event, the trees are nearly thirty meters tall! Are we flying over the Amazon?
Overall, this mode gave me the same sense of awe I felt when I first played War Thunder. Air combat is no longer about killing for the sake of killing, nor is it about recklessly bombing combat zones just to boost scores. In this mode, everyone is ‘working’ together rather than fighting individually. Everyone is trying hard for that ‘grand prize,’ and it also prevents people from TKing teammates for the base (although I still encountered purely malicious TKs). In short, this is a really great mode. In fact, I think this mode is more fun and interesting than the existing air combat, even if the matches last a long time (so maybe it will return later like the helicopter mode?). I hope you don’t mess it up—keep it as it is, improve and balance it. This mode could bring new life to air combat in this game.
I am glad that you did not forget your original intention and become a company that only knows how to sell premium packages as rumored in the community, but instead created such an interesting model, bringing new hope to this game.

im sure the small russian army chasing after you will prove it is the real deal lol

Can the whole dumping players into matches that are practically over or actully over be adressed please? It’s beyond frustrating waiting ages for a match to get dumped into one of those LC and then again, and again and again.

I get the queue times are to be made as short as possible but form smoke who intentionally switches off joint already active matches this is just a bit of a middle finger really.
Worst is if I quit because there isn’t actully a match to play I’m gifted a crew lock for it’s

Please can this be sorted out asap

i think that if they let at least the SU27 the queues were gonna be smaller on the american side…

i saw that too and are people forgetting the British 12,000lb bomb. yes total weight of the fab9000 is greater than it however the 12000lb has a slightly greater tnt mass so it is the 'better" bomb i would think

At least you’re getting matches. I’ve been queued up for over an hour already with NOTHING. I can’t grind out the Buff if I can’t get a feckin’ match!

I recommend giving Russia their Su-27 and Su-33, as it may help balance the matchmaking. It’s very one-sided right now.

raw HE mass for the fab is over 4,2 tonnes, for the 12000lb its a little under 4

Not actully getting a match though, honestly it’s either wian 20mins or click take part then cancel a few times over about 5mins, then get a match that’s already over, literally worst I’ve had is joking a match to be nuked on the runway immediately that I spawned.

There should be a cutoff point for adding new players into a match or at least those of us who have the option to not going active matches checked don’t get to be dumped into dead games

So far I’ve played 5minutes in an hour and a half of trying to get a game this morning…

i was looking at the tnt equivalent mass for the 12000lb as the type of explosive being used is different on each bomb

Is there a way to unset a lock on a friendly target, or other target that you did not intend to for AR Missiles?
