They said the top bracket is 11.7-13.0, which includes the MLD. I suggest you go into battle with a rank 1 plane to guarantee the lower bracket.
It’s very playable with the mig-29, and if you don’t have that the lower bracket is still plenty playable with the mig-23.
the problem is they said they devided into 10.3 - 11.7 and 12.0 - 13.0 yesterday but i am still facing 13.0 aircraft with 11.7 aircraft
I wish SEAD was more impactful, it just doesn’t do anything for your team or the opposite team. AAs respawn infinitely so suppressing the AAs so your team can advance further into their airfield will never happen, people are right to just treat it like TDM/ARB because there is no reason to do anything else.
The “Top” includes 11.7. It is very easy to misread since the “pre-top” ends with 12.0.

I would honestly prefer to fly the Phantom FGR.2 at this point over the F-4E.
Can’t lock worth a damn on low flying Migs but they can lock their R-24s on me with ease and no issue.
Can’t stop a nuke Carrying Su-24 because I can’t lock him in front aspect and my 9Ls get insta-flared in rear aspect on a full afterburning Su-24. Gaijin, please for the love of everyrthing that is holy, stop giving us the god awful F-4E in these events and pitting us against opponents with radars that can actually lock near the ground.

Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I last posted on the forum, but this seems like a good occasion.
We’re glad to see such a lively and positive response to Nuclear Thunder. It means a lot to us: we put a lot of effort and time into it, and it’s rewarding to see our work highly appreciated.
This time, the April 1st event is really no joke; it’s a test of new ideas, mechanics, and a new game mode.
We’ve seen quite a few sad posts, and even videos claiming that this mode is temporary and will be removed after the event ends, with calls to keep it in the game permanently, so I decided to share a bit about our plans and thoughts on this.
We do not plan to “throw away or delete” this mode. As I mentioned above, we put a lot of effort into it, and it includes many mechanics that weren’t there before — this is the first 256×256 km location built on a new tech foundation, and a new logic for a long-running mission in which AI units operate under a complex scenario with logistics, ground forces, and long range systems (TBM, MLRS), sophisticated air defense systems, and even cluster mynt rounds (yes, the TBM in this event are equipped with cluster warheads), plus an updated procedural nuclear explosion and its damage physics, and many optimizations to keep this mission within reasonable server load (up to 1000 units), ARM and much more.
However, we can’t keep it in this form on a permanent basis — there are a number of technical and gameplay questions to resolve.
Plus there is a need for new large maps, new AI units for other nations, new munitions for aviation of other nations, and combat ratings. Even a simple addition of another nation or aircraft with a different BR range in a similar mode requires thorough testing and mission adjustments, since flight performance and weapons affect distances and timing in the mission.
All of this doesn’t mean we won’t do it because it’s expensive; it means we’ll need some time for a mode of this scale to become a permanent feature.
Before this event ends, we plan to make a number of additional tweaks and fixes to the mission itself and to the AI (especially the air defense systems).
I also think we’ll periodically bring back this existing scenario while we work on turning it into a permanent game mode.
ye 11.7 should be on the “top” but if you try the mig23ml only plays against f15 and f18s while the f4s only plays in the pre top battle, at least I only had those kinds of battles.

Ban Mig-25.
It’s a neat idea in theory, but it serves no purpose in the game mode beyond camping the bomber spawns, and obviously that is not a healthy gampelay behevior to encourage.
Sitting at 20k+ for an hour while modding discord and reddit just waiting for someone to finally spawn their first B-52/Tu-95 ever. Then you swoop in, knowing exactly the right angle and missile to ruin his day so you can get back to not having a life.
Seriously, it’s a net loss for Russian teams as they lose a person and it just pisses off other players. That’s literally the only function the Mig-25 has in this event, sacrificing every single objective of the mode to ruin someones day.
Winning or losing this event makes absolutely no difference, and getting the bombers is really hard, especially for newer players. No one deserves to be spawncamped by a no-lifer who just wants everyone to be as miserable as they are. It’s far more prevalent during peak times, but nearly every match i’ve seen it.
This is very good to hear. This has a ton of potential to be an incredibly good mode, and I hope to see it return frequently.
