Looks like I’ve created the Tu-95MSM suggestion at the best timing haha - Great news.
I just noticed, my April Fools suggestion is technically valid now, damn XD

This mode has been a lot of fun, the SL reward is worth the play time, very cool event reward, much better balancing than the previous F4 vs Mig21 event, and you guys added layered anti-air defence extremely well! Extremely cool to see in War Thunder.
The only complaint I have is that the “free” F4E is rather bad when compared to the free Mig23MLD since F4E radar is near useless and I suggest that the US should get F4J instead because the radar actually works below ~1km and would be more competitive. But like I said, this event is much better than the previous ones. Overall, an amazing job from the dev team, good job!

Forgetting the F-15?
im starting to. but as a brit main i cant give up on the challenger
Hello there, it’s a great and pleasant surprise to see you coming by!
I hope we may be able to welcome more interactions from you in the future.
hope you aren’t complaining about 10min? Am already in queue für over 1h and still waiting :D
Wonderful news! Keep up the good work! The mode is already great and it has such a good foundation for future improvements!
whats the MSM? im guessing an upgraded version of the current one (still worse than my goat)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you a million times…very, very, very good job. Keep it up. This gamemode was very funny. :)
This is probably among the best news the game got in a very long time, I hope you guys keep up the good work. o7
This event was a really nice surprise, and hearing that so much of its good features are considered and tested for the future is just amazing to hear!
Not Nuclear Thunder related but while you’re here are there any plans to have some other events return or potentially added permanently to the game in the future? Mainly the likes of the Great War event from last year’s April Fools or the Battle of the Atlantic event?
Unfortunately, our bots require some improvements to their flight model. They use a simplified model, which allows them to fly significantly better than player-controlled aircraft. In a mode where they spawn unlimitedly, I’m afraid they’ll put too much pressure on players. We actually conducted most of our testing with bots, and this was noticeable. We have plans to improve the bots in this regard.
Yes, I agree that the imbalance in the number of players waiting is alarming, but that’s mainly because the event has a huge online presence; it’s currently the most popular game mode.
How about fixing the obvious imbalance of available planes? And Might as well stop everyone from bringing their own stuff
To kinda side track, do the osa’s in this mode seem pretty hard to survive? or am i missing something?
i dont think theres an “obvious imbalance” the mig29 and yak141 both hold there own super well and imo the mig29 is better than the f15 and f18 simply because the missiles
For all the players that aren’t that used to jet fighting, and you play USA, try the A10 warthog, and turn on countermeasures.
I still struggle with russia, and i used to get the phantom before, but now , i get the A10,stealth rounds ,and i just have fun. Even managed to get the nuke and won the game from a sure loss.
Never thought i’d have so much fun only with the warthog, missiles were next to useless to me(except the ground ones,i’d still die from those sometimes, but only because i ran out of flares or i pushed too much) .
Quite honestly i didn’t expect this outcome, the warthog is so slow, but in this mode ,it’s one of it’s best things,as most enemy jets are going so fast, they don’t get the chance to get you on target properly, and many russian jets don’t have a lot of ammo.
The A10 is so underrated.
Agree.
It was gonna be one of us 😆
AI controlled SPAA are just broken. They can track and fire on players through the map and are much harder to defeat.
Surely the SAMs which fire on the move are known, right?
Yes, this is a deliberate simplification. More realistic behavior—firing from short stops—requires significantly more development and debugging time. The main problem is the interaction between such SAM systems and the columns they cover. Improvements are still in the longer term.
