I don’t know why people are saying the sparrows are useless, I’ve used free jets from both sides to grind the event, I’d rather have radar missiles than IR missiles that can be single flared
And if someone happens to show up right in front of you? Sparrows are not useless at all, get below your enemy and they’ll track through chaff no problem.

OH double wait! It is because they are different explosives! The FAB-5000 has TGA-16 explosive which is MORE TNT equivalent per KG than TNT.

You can also select one of the load outs and look at the “Estimated damage to bases” on the left. The FAB-5000 is almost double the base damage estimate. HOWEVER, with the “reward multiplier for bases” the difference is not as big. But if 1 FAB-5000 can take out a base alone, then you might get more score. Idk yet. Would have to see how they behave in a real match.

I wish gaijin toned down on the AAs around the map, 10-15% less AAs maybe, right now they can feel way too oppressive even if you’re using radiation missiles
