That is the April Fool’s post BEFORE the event was posted. That original post on the forums is also locked, with a note to refer to THIS thread.
That thread was literally an April Fools post. The “real” information is at the top of this thread, where again it states clearly that YOU will be able to keep and use these EVENT vehicles after YOU obtain them.
Unless a community manager or dev says otherwise, and like they stated before (I believe in the Q&A video), the strategic bombers will ONLY be event vehicles, and NOT be added to the researchable tech trees.

I hate playing ARB but this event has actually made me better and enjoy ARB as well. Glad they added and hope they keep it regardless of people complaining to complain.

No, F117 carries 2 bombs and was meant for night time single targets in and out this is more of a F-111F operation

Opposite, Tu-95m is 8.3 and the B-52 is 8.7
You can see both in the hanger now, and test fly both of them. Go to achievements, click on preview. You can see stat card there, and test fly them. NOTE! They might (probably) change before and/or right after they start getting used in matches. Always happens, don’t take any of the stats or BR’s as final information.
Click on your name (profile) at the top of the main menu, then click on the “Achievements” tab at the top, click on “Nuclear Thunder” on the left, click on one of the planes on the right, click “Preview”.
“Test Flight” button will be at the bottom right when you are previewing one of the planes:
Sandman, the F-117A was the first stealth nuclear strike aircraft carrying 2xB61 nuclear bombs.
It’s just very quickly people realised it wasn’t needed and instead did it’s secondary role as a tactical strike aircraft for normal munitions.
So it absolutely is a massive missed opportunity to not have it useable as a nuclear bomber in this event.
I did test fly the tu-95m but i left quickly since it’s stock, i wanted to test the fab-9000 although it seems worse than the fab-5000 since it has decently less tnt equivalent and you can carry 2 fab-5000s

Well considering in the past they discussed a strategic bomber mode for bombers. And that post like everything else on april fools arrived. What makes us think it is a joke post??? Other than mods meming about not replying to information like normal?
All that happened was the discussion was moved to the main event discussion, this one.
And since we are getting this april fools to test out strategic bombers, ARM’s and so forth, all evidence points to that being 100% accurate.

They are not coming to the researchable tech trees bro. (Nor other strategic bombers.) Again, unless a Community Manager or Dev says otherwise, no one has provided any evidence otherwise. If you do find some concrete evidence, from a CM or Dev, please post a link to it. Not just a screenshot. That isn’t proof. A link to a forum post, or YouTube video from the official Gaijin/War Thunder account.
Honestly I can’t play any more of this event until it changes.
It mimics the 2 things i like the least about top tier air RB, but at a BR I really enjoy. Those being the fact that lawn mowing is meta, and that your RWR doesn’t shut up. The AA density needs to be drastically lower, same as the amount of players in the match.
That, combined with an actual grind makes the mode very unfun, despite it having slivers of it being very fun.
So the original says they are adding strategic bombers as a new vehicle type to research tree’s.
And the second says specifically for this event these are two specific vehicles are event vehicles only.
What about the post denies the first piece of information???

The event is a test for strategic bombers, ARMs, and so forth. And they have advertised and shown us useable strategic bombers as a vehicle type.
So from the perspective of all of us Bomber Mains from 2012/13 time period, this is confirming to all of us that research tree trategic bombers are on their way and we are all extremely excited and happy to see bombers get some love and attention finally after years of just fighter and strike aircraft centric updates.
