I’m starting to doubt the balance issue is just a mistake considering how they didn’t do anything to fix it yet.
I mean I have seen an F-15 do 12k+ points in one game while the best standard lineup player I’ve seen got ~3k. This really shouldn’t be a thing in a fun, casual april fools event when those historically had balanced setups.
Again, this is beyond even full uptiers, something like a MiG-23MLD (11.7, highest BR standard plane) faces F-14B (13.0). This is just needlessly reintroducing the problem that the BR system is meant to fix.
I play Mig-29 and I agree that F-4E is easy target. But I dont see that much Migs-29 as F-14 or F-15. This mode would be much more fun without those planes
Mig 29 could also be added to the preset with a historic armament, with a more advanced phantom to counter it, providing a more interesting engagement profile than just “Let there be Fakours”. But would require there to be no additional platforms present.
Yeah, but at the same time though, the Mig23MLD has a massive advantage over the F4E. Because all I can use is 9Ls Vs large calibre Flares meanwhile I have to defend against R-24Rs. Let alone Mig29s firing R-27ERs
I had a 10k+ game last night just nuking stuff using low level tactics, but I had to use every scrap of my low level attacker knowledge to do that. Would be a lot easier without markers
I would agree with you, but if everyone could contest the Mig 29 it would be the death knell for the few playing for the Soviets. There just would be no means to compete. Even I, with my fondness for Soviet/Russian strike platforms and SEAD in particular, am having a hard time justifying it with the wall of F15s and Fakours every round.
It’s just fundamentally flawed with the BRs permitted and/or permitting outside platforms to the preset.
It can’t be forgiven for what happened to the harrier. Did all the work, but RAF propaganda sold the Vulcan as the workhorse so harrier got killed off. 😿
