If they want to make it a permanent game mode they should probably start hearing the community WAY more,we are the one who know better than them as most of us played and still play for countless hours compared to them

  2. Yes, they snipe you out of the sky even behind obstacles and while on the move.

Nah, use the 5k x2 or the 3k x4. Both are better options. Each have a higher explosive equivalent per KG versus TNT. The 9k only has normal TNT.

In Air Battles the 3k x4 are probably the best option. They have a total base damage higher than the 5k x2 and 9k x1. And/or allow you to take out more groups of ground units. Hitting the 4x groups of units with a pillbox in the center will most likely get you multiple kills per 3k.

And a 5k dropped on a 4x cluster will probably destroy all 4 units nearly every time. (I have not tested, don’t have them yet, but I’m pretty confident that the 5k’s will easily destroy all 4 reliability.)

Even for use in GRB the 5k’s have nearly the same destruction radius on armored units. So, you get two shots versus one shot with the 9k.

The 9k’s explosive filler is correct and historical. Even if its overall weight is changed, the explosive filler will stay the same. Just ignore the 9k and go with the better options.

Why have the OSA’s not been nerfed?

They still carry unlimited missiles,
They are still stupidly accurate at all ranges they engage at, and can destroy any and all missiles you fire at them.

Meanwhile, russia can easily slip past all the AA on the USA team now and bomb all their bases, and the flakraks run out of missiles after 10 minuites into the game. So nobody even needs to destroy them, and their missiles are now, thankfully, absolutely useless.

9 out of 10 of my deaths are purely due to OSA, whichis absolutely broken, so many dogfights as russia end because OSA’s just take all the kills

It doesn’t help that the USA only gets a pretty useless 10.3 aircraft (A10A Early) for ground attacking… while Russia gets 11.7 SU25 with R73 missiles.

This is the only thing you said that I’d disagree with…
I’ve been waiting over half an hour so far for my first round of the day…
If I don’t get in within the next 5 minutes it’s going to be my only round of the day, if I don’t get in within the next 30 minutes I give up… I have things to do besides sitting around waiting on warblunder.

Well congrats Gaijin, your event is literally unplayable - it is impossible to actually get into a match if you have anything even vaguely resembling a life or responsibilities in the real world.

America truly suffers.

Eversince the scoring change it’s absolutely impossible to get the B-52 with america!

And because scoring change you can’t get either B-52 or Tu-4! It’s horrible!

I am finally done with this event. Having against my better judgement done all 6 stages.
It was really fun in the beginning, but the buff to SPAA along with adding moving missile SPAA to convoys instead of removing them and leaving the SPAAG there was definitely the design choice of all time.

But despite that, I persisted, managed around 3.5k average score per game, and for the last two stages I completely abandoned PvP.

I have completed the sixth and final stages for both the US and USSR sides. Here is my final feedback:

  • Spread SPAAs out and reduce the number of FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units deployed on the frontline or significantly increase their respawn times, so that SEAD and the use of anti-radiation missiles produce meaningful impacts.
  • Change the guidance behavior of FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units so they cannot track and engage targets through terrain, such as ground, mountains, trees, and multipath interference. Make them less likely to intercept and shoot your smaller munitions. Additionally, allow players to outmaneuver their missiles and disengage from the frontline.
    • I would prefer that FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units be replaced with other SPAA systems equipped with IR missiles, allowing us to decoy their missiles with flares.
  • Add aircraft carriers and fleets at sea and allow players to spawn naval aircraft on them. Make those a new optional objective to bomb.
  • Move depots further away from the frontlines.
  • Increase the respawn time of depots further.
  • Increase the respawn time of convoys further.
  • Improve allied detection and extend the duration that marked ground enemies remain visible on the map.
  • Add AWACS airplanes to provide temporary detection alerts on both flanks to protect airfields. Have them be able to get shot down and respawned every 15 minutes.
  • Revert air kill rewards to their Day 1 values, while increasing ground kill rewards to be nearly equivalent to air kill rewards.

Nuclear Thunder on Day 1 was a more enjoyable experience for me overall, with the F-14A IRIAF banned, compared to the current state of the game mode.

If you plan to implement this event as a permanent game mode, your priority should be resolving concerns with SPAAs and making PvP rewards more attractive, as they were on Day 1.

I think they shouldn’t be able to see you through trees or the ground I’ve had multiple occasions where SACLOS spaa fires like 4 missiles into the ground because the target they were tracking dipped below a hill

I would like to see AI strike aircraft/bomber formations too as objectives to attack/defend

Not a bug but can Gaijin fix this? it’s hard to see targets when the text is in the middle of the crosshairs

Final opinion on the state of the game mode.

HARM runs are more fun now, as SPAA is no longer roided out of its mind as much. So, baiting the frontline SPAA systems and then shooting one HARM per spaa works well.
I usually clean up the mountainside pretty fast with 1 or 2 teammates. After a few HARM runs, I just mop up the ground targets with vikrs or phantom+mavs/GBU.
Thus, by the time the second escalation stage opens i have a nice pool of sp from 99% ground attack.

Almost had a nuke too with Russia, only if i didnt commit to a yolo gun run on a patriot site…

Pretty nice mode, i have to say.
Spaa needs some further polishing tho.

  1. Spawned first spawn with SU-24, used KH-29T to get 3 ground kills. Died.
  2. Respawned with SU-24, repeated first run + some gun kills. Died
  3. Respawned as Mig-23MLD

Tossed nukes, destroyed an airfield. Finally died to a phantom catching me on the way home without flares. Those 5 air kills? People on airfield.

Respawned as MIG-23MLD, tossed 2 more nukes.

The ordnance interception is the worst

It also effect costum user missions thanks to gaijins spaghetti code

And I can say even bringing the f18e into this mode
Without air to air would not have changed this game mode much

Because everything gets intercepted

Its just so bad to play this mode now.

No real balance was done during this entire time besides making it more miserable to play.
