This is a worse mode than regular Air RB now. Redfor absolutely steamrolls every game and kills the pathetic bluefor airbase SPAA in 8 minutes tops. Then it’s just runway camping and helpless attempts at BVR from bluefor until the game is over. SEAD doesn’t work, DEAD doesn’t work, and Air Combat is the worst it’s ever been.

Obviusly my biggest point is that they need to fire only after an enemy is higher than a set altitude, the real issue RN is the BUK and SAMPT firing at everything, AND the sampt being shit.

S300 and patriot in the constest on distance of NT are basically the same thing, depending on the variant have nearly the same stats and guidance modes

Again, this would be fixed by having appropriate AA response times and having them not be omniscient. Not by adding more long range SAMs.

Again, you’re almost there. It’s about engagement types, doctrine and information.

Buk is not designed to do the same job as SAMPT or do it in the same way - just saying “don’t fire on targets under X altitude” doesn’t fix that.

In the same way that S300 and Patriot seem like the same thing, but in practice they are designed and used very differently, the speed difference and warhead difference alone would impact their effective use in game - ignoring the fact that they would deny any and all aircraft and munitions.

It does fix that though … even in the current state the buk would not be as oppressive, and with such a change you could buff NATO long range sam to match it and to really contest the high altitude fight instead of being a background noise.

Buk RN is frustrating becouse there is no counterplay, if it has a set aktitude then engaging with the buk is a clear choice and would limit the b7n missle spam on every target on the whole map.

It would open a more tactical playstyle with clear risk-reward instead of midnalessly multiplath and hope the buk doesn’t splash you wich is rhe current NATO palystyle.

It’s hilarious that i am the only one talking about the need for persistant lobbies lmao, there is no matchmaker RN there is no poit. In disbanding the lobby every time, it’s the 3rd game i enter wich was basically finished.
Ther eis no punishment to exitfrom a finished mathc, and no incentive to stay in the mathc after your side start losing.

At least with peristante lobbies you coul be assured to be put into a full game from the start if you finish a match.

I brought it up earlier. And many other people brought that up during first nt event back in april. Devs could fix it but they just cut huge part of players off by presenting only top tier bracket and not giving free vehicles for everyone. They probably knew nobody would bother with such requirements. Let alone sl nerfs and further ai aa buffs.

Again, you’re ignoring what I’m saying; these are asymmetrical weapons systems being deployed symmetrically. They will never be balanced this way, no matter how much you buff one and nerf the other.

They must be approached as what they are, Buk is an aerial area denial system which gets 12 shots and should only be firing at aircraft which it has a high PK for, no matter the attitude. It is not designed to be fired like a machine-gun like the Iron-dome is.

Even then, the asymmetry of stuff like the ItO Vs the Pantsir causes it’s own issues, not to mention the absence of last-line air defence like Gepards and Shilkas.

Persistent lobbies have been talked about already, don’t be that guy.

Playing on the red side as GB feels like clubbing baby seals if I take the EF2K out for solely air to air. Can’t imagine it’s fun for the other side all that much.

Don’t really know WTF Gaijin were thinking dropping this over the weekend.

I’ve been saying this since dev but Russia already has enough advantages. Giving their side typhoon on top of that just to make sure that blufor never has a hope of winning an aerial engagement is just plain ridiculous. GB should have been blufor only. As for Sweden.

You also said that front line AA would keep their radar on, and that the rate at which they intercept munitions would be reduced, that didn’t happen either.

In general they don’t understand the “tone down/nerf/fix the SAMs” … I see others saying “it’s realistic” , let me inform you there is not realistic at all. Just because “saturation” is a strategy… doesn’t make it realistic, because the weapons aren’t in realistic quality from the get go. They are much heavily nerfed across the board because it’s a game and since PvP is involved they try to keep some balance (and fail) . Having SAMs target you THROUGH hills , defy terrain elements etc. is another story altogether. You can’t shoot a SACLOS missile between trees in a moving target at a low altitude if the angle is making the missile cut through the trees.
FULLSTOP.

The other crap … you throw 10 bombs/missiles whatever… SAM tosses 1 missile. It Kills you , 10 bombs, 50 missiles , the missiles the other friendly throwed , your bombs from the previous game (time travel is real) , the missiles you will throw in another game , in another mode 5 years from now , it goes back in time and kills the UFO in Roswell in 1947…

The sampt intercepts kh31, some times a full salvo of 6 gets intercepted. But with the kh31 range and half the team firing those non-stop, it’s a matter of time one goes through.

Sometimes when firing from closer and drom.high altitude even 1-2 works but i found it unrealible, i use 4 kh31 usually and they have to be fired veey close togheter so the Asampt has less time to intercept, even with 4 kh31 rhe success rate is like 50%.

I have died to an invisible ITO 20 times something… It’s probably somewhere inside a mountain , because where it shows that it is , it is not…

HOW COME SPAA KNOW SOMETHING IS COMING IF THEIR F** RADAR IS OFF???

SPAA reaction time against incoming projectile is cancerous, I like how the moment you press the drop button on your weapons SPAA will also starts firing their missile, absolute ridiculous
