Nuclear Escalation - Development update from BVV_d

No you can set it how it was before, the radar settings were just set on ALL by default while beforebit was set on ENEMIES by default.

Right now russian AD is just as pathetic as NATO AD, in fact i saw more SAMPT kills than S300 kills in this match.

good lord, i guess AD is even now, they’re both really bad

which is goood

That’s like the third post that you’re making bragging. Yes, the GBU-39s are not a bad choice, but they’re still a pain in the ass to use because of the 30km TGP limit, not even mentioning the horrible cloud cover. Guess what? Redfor can do all your work by just taking off and launching their ramjet ARMs…

i just dont understand why some people want stalker misery gameplay for 75 000 sl in war thunder of all places

There is no point in doing this anymore, both AA are useless RN.

It was fun going against buk and i posted to let people know they could do it.

Now with S300 is like clubbing a baby seal, litterally only useful for farming them.

Nah, LR AA should make getting altitude challenging.

It should have been both sides with something like the buk, but with 100 mt multipath height for the LR AA.

So it would have been possible to get near the frontline and try to attack frontline depots or make more complex attacks against LR AA.

Now it’s just RB EC with a lot more clutter in the RWR

Holdup Gaijin W?!?! But we should still have some AA nerfs or atleast balance it with Patriots

See you in 10 years !
We know when you say “soon”

I dont have an issue with the Buk’s kinematic (which is what the Aster 30 bug reports are mostly for) I have an issue with its magical seeker as I said.

Both missiles should be kinematically very dangerous, but thats simply not the case atm. Buffing Asters kinematics to iel levels and nerfing buks seeker to lets say ~25-30km for example would mean both are genuine threats while making neither as cancerous as the current Buk-M3 was in the mode.

Fighting strong AA is fun, fighting unrealistic AA, not so much…

Awesome so the Buks have been swapped with S-300’s which will still fire at anything that isn’t sat on the runway. Fantastic change Gaijin. Now instead of being stuck evading Buk’s the entire time now I’m evading S-300’s from the moment I take off.

wdym? i havent been shot down by a s300 at all, they’re rlly easy to kill

It’s the fact that they are constantly firing the second you take off, I’m forced to constantly defend from them and can’t do anything else. Yes they’re easy to defeat but you defeat one there’s then 7 more coming for you the entire time.

no idea abt you but my rwr is quiet until i started climbing or peak over hills and stuff, even then they arent firing instantly

Maybe because they’re all firing/guiding missiles at joshje100 xD

Patriot is a placeholder actually just for a test, same as S-300. Until they properly intoduced as playable vehicle.
Type 03 for blues should be Ok

They take 4 business day to get to the frontline and you can avoid them by just staying low, they are SACLOS so even 10 sec without guidance is enough to trow them off

xD

In my view, the biggest problems are:
Firstly, the fact that players on the Red (Russia) side can fly over the Blue (NATO) side’s territory without any trouble and kill them one by one.
Secondly, the unbelievable range of the S-300 air defence system; despite no longer having missiles with active radar-guided warheads (such as the BUK-M3), the missiles can still hit me far behind our own front line, which makes it much harder to engage the Red Team’s ground targets (almost impossible).
Thirdly, there is a general problem: when attempting to engage ground targets with IR-guided or laser-guided weapons, it is common for the targets to be missed because the hitbox of the ground targets appears to be located below the map (mostly with moving targets).
The first two points in particular make it difficult for players on the Blue side to score points and get kills, which makes me very sad as, ever since modern jets were introduced in War Thunder, I’ve been looking for exactly this kind of game mode where I can primarily engage ground targets.
