I mean there’s literally videos of AGM-88s smoking Russian SPAA so idk :T Also, what do you think the AGM-88 does IRL? Open-source information includes lock on jam, LOAL (which is actually called PB/PE (pre-briefed or pre-emptive mode)), data link, INS/GPS, MMWAR and BDA cueing. That doesn’t include the extended range/battery upgrades and even more so in the G model.

For the US, there was a few supersonic missiles but that’s what the AGM-88 replaced as it was the all-in-one platform. There was the British ALARM and that’s actually still used by the Saudi’s on their Tornado’s (the UK retired it in 2013) and was usable on the Jaguar and Typhoon. If you haven’t heard of that one, I’d recommend looking into it as it would use a parachute to loiter, which is wild. France made the Martel (which is in game as the AJ.37) but the UK could also use it as they did IRL.
As for the AGM-88C, the only data I could find, but sadly has no official sources as it is still classified data, is as follows:

In game, it looks like engine cutoff is some time before 8 seconds given the numbers off the weapons parameters page but really not sure. It appears to be lacking a sustaining burn as that should be out to the 10-15 second range. Also, if the chart is to be deemed accurate, it has a weird pop up after launch until you get 400 meters of altitude. That may be messing with it
there’s this but i cant find anything else abt a recent AGM-88(E) killing a russian AA system, i found a few articles from 2022 but they dont have videos only photos of the tail fin of the HARM
Could you provide some videos? I can’t find any unfortunately and I’m not on ukr or ru telegram. In my opinion if ARMs were really effective, we’ll see many footage of anti air installations(on both sides) being attacked by said missiles like how there’s footage of ATACMS and Iskander missiles taking down radar installations.
In my opinion for context of wt for both grb and NE, the speed of the missile is one of its most important attributes as that’s what would decrease the intercept window for those missiles. A increase to the thrust or an increase to the burn time of the agm88c or a change in its flight path to increase its speed will not allow the missile to reach parity with kh31 :((
ARM were used in ukraine for less than a year, they were completely replaced by medium range drones.
Videos of ukranian using ARMs are all 1/2year old,inconclusive and had zero battlefield impact.
Russia still uses them just becouse they can launch more to put pressure on ukranian AD and let other more impactful munitions go trough.
3 months of drone campaign had thousand time more impact on the war on either side than the use of ARMs in general ever did, even discarding the videos you see ukranians and russians openly complaining about impactful weapons, like himars, geran, lancet, fiber optic drones etc etc, no one ever complained about kh31 and agm88.
What really makes me chuckle is how judging from actual in game testing and not from some kind of simulation HARMs launched from 7km alt and Mach 1 don’t reach 1100m/s at all, ever.
At their peak, when the motor burns out, they just about scratch 900ish m/s and quickly go down from there. Balanced as ever.

And agreed, especially against the Ai and their bubble. And fair, that’s why I was saying the KH-31P should have been the only one added. You balance speed v radar selection unless they’re going to add the newer AGM-88s that were built around fixing that issue.
Tbf, that is about Mach 3 (which is 994 m/s). You can sometimes get them to peak over 1000 but it’s wonky launch parameters that you’ll probably never get in game.
ouh its the same ones jabber posted :((( Unfortunately I’m not an expert on these kinds of things but I think in first video it was a loiter munition as well because it seemed to hit the battery and not the radar but I may be wrong of course.
I mean, Russia did suddenly lose a string of S-300s and Pantsir platforms right after they were given to Ukraine. But then again, Russia isn’t exactly going to be going out of their way to give Ukraine good BDA data. And tbf, drones are a dime a dozen in commodity and price in comparison. With both sides lacking air superiority, ARMs really aren’t worth the price as they won’t open an air corridor to justify it.
And ahh gotcha. Didn’t realize Jabber added some. They got some older AGM-88s from what I understand so basically it’s a shotgun blast on those (it’s a bunch of tungsten balls). The objective is to knock the radar out rather than a kinetic strike like how it is in WT.
