That’s the point. HARM reaches almost mach 3 and then immediately loses speed, while while kh31 gets to 3900km/h as seen in game on the map (which is mach 3) and keeps it all the way until impact.
Not equivalent whatsoever no matter how you look at it.
I have no doubts HARM plays effect in suppression of enemy air defense but I can’t find anything about kills, same with Kh-31
for kill count i personally use Oryx, ima have a look on there for anything abt it
This is more so to do with the missile’s drag coefficient and simplified ballistic coeff, together with it not ebing a ramjet making it harder to sustain those speeds.

I am not arguing the drag. IMO the problem is that in terms of ARM one side was, figuratively speaking, given an amraam while the other got an mbda meteor.
Sure, the former can perform better at some super specific flight regimes, but overall it’s not even a competition. Both are wide-band, too.
You can tweak the former’s drag all you want, but the gap will remain enormous.
couldnt find anything abt the hard kill count of thr HARM since apparently even russia anti-air turning off its radar counts as a mission kill since its apart of the S in SEAD, but i found out ukraine is getting gripen c, d, e and apparently the new brasilian f model w meteor missiles in the next few years which is interesting, hopefully this means the gripen F comes to the game in someones sub-tree, possibly 2 of them

gripen f isnt much different than a late production variant of the gripen e aside of some minor changes to fit brasils needs but yk, more diversity in other nations is always good
I agree with you too however other than Kh-58(for premium Su-30mks) I cannot find any other ARMs that are in service for flanker family that could decrease the asymmetry between blue and red planes :((
AS-17 krypton, AS-11 Kilter and AS-12 kegler are the main ones in use in the flanker family
Isn’t kh58 is what su24 currently using? As well as what it had in aprils fools event. Seems far far closer to being a HARM equivalent.
But of course, with russia we simply can’t have that.
I only see it being listed usable on the premium flankers, not Su-30SMs
What’s AS-12? I’m unaware of that one(the other two I know)
AS-12 kegler is the NATO name of the KH25-MP
the premium SU30s dont get access to the KH58, the russian prem SU30 gets access to the KH59MKE as the AShM, the KH58 SU24 and SU39 only IIRC

That would mean they’d need to fall back to using kh38’s, and that we evidently can not have aswell(
Sorry I meant in real life oops(actually take it with grain of salt, my source is Jane’s air launched weapons) but SU-30MKs can fire Kh-31s as well so their loadouts are sort of right in wt
