what would be even better is if there were AWACs, radar-radar DL and EW pods
I feel like my primary gripe with the mode is the respawn timer. I understand that it is meant to discourage the furballs of April, but I feel like it makes it so you either play super defensively, or have a large lineup of spaded vehicles to fall back on when you die. I feel like the better option is forcing you to spawn at a different airfield instead of spawn another vehicle entirely. Or potentially make subsequent respawns cost spawn points to skip the timer.

AWACS could be kinda lame depending on its range.
But adding a mission to destroy awacs planes would be kinda epic.
These guys would be great for WT in general for sure.
modern awacs have a 250km+ range
like how it’s used IRL, for radar support and recon on where enemies are, obvs the recon will have a shorter range so you cant see ppl when they go above 50m, same w radar support, it should allow you to see where they are and not be able to launch a missile
I have a few other question, since this mode is more and more rage inducing in its current form, the more I play it.
How is it possible, that the 2S6s, that escort the moving convoys, can target me, fire at me and successfully guide their missiles at me, while they are moving? And remember, while they are moving, they are on a road. Those roads are surrounded by trees, which are, according to my radar altimeter, between 25 to 30 m tall and also make it impossible for me, to see those 2S6s through my targeting pod while I fly at tree top level to get close. I know where they are because I see their markers. But i can’t see them directly and put my laser on them for my brimstones (I use brimstones because bombs somehow only get hits 70% of the time and even HARMs sometimes explode too early. Must be the trees I guess).
So, I can’t see them but they can see me and because of that they magically fire their missiles at me, through those trees. And there are a lot of trees. Ah btw. this is also true for the static 2S6s, that are surrounded by trees.
So what kind of black magic is this? Because it is a severe imbalance since for me, the trees are an obstacle and good concealment for them.
If you just haul ass and dart past them it is not so annoying, beside the occasional out of nowhere hit by a Pantsir (from behind trees).
2nd question.
I just tried it once more and flew through the mountains in the NW. Beautiful scenery, quiet with no rwr warnings because those mountains are as tall as their valleys are deep.
But how come, that the millisecond I crest a ridge towards the battlefield, I get instantly launched on by multiple BUKs? Which just before also launched at other planes in the usual area of action while simultaneously also defeating various munitions launched at them.
Why does the AI act so artificial? So unhuman? Can’t you somehow implement a simulated human factor in there. Since there are “humans” in those air defense vehicles. They instantly know where a player is and also of course what he is, even when he did everything to hide his position for minutes. Diving back behind the mountains to conceal yourself again doesn’t work. BUK missiles fly very high and still see you. Even if you lose them for 15 seconds and then pop up a bit due to an incoming ridge, they instantly look on to you again (no matter how hard you changed course and position).
And even if you survive all of this and then start the next run on the BUK site, they already reloaded all there missiles and the whole show starts all over again. My two HARMs on my Eurofighter are long gone at this point and the only thing to do then is to die like a hero with nothing achieved.
Those two marginally exaggerated situations only happen of course if there aren’t a few SU-30SM2s circling and chilling high above our airfields to launch at starting jets, because our long range AA radars are either already dead or somehow just don’t launch.

Fix red carrier spawns
I tried few battles after this update. And in this state, i dont want to play it anymore. Map is overspammed by AAs (that are too overpowered) and they are still forcing me to lick the ground. If the game mode has to be good, i need to be abble to fly up high to use all potential of the plane. In reality, this would be considered as no fly zone with too high danger to send there any plane.
And the fact, the AAs are shooting down almost every single ammunition flying their way - have you seen radar secion of a missle or GBU? Yeah, it can be locked and shot down but not at that high successfull rate.
My final opinion is that this game mode at this state is not interesting, not funny and its frustration simulator. Reduce number of AAs and nerf them heavily. Until it will happen, i say, no thank you.

No, they didn´t. Yeah, there were some changes, but minor changes.
I remember when the players were complaining about AAs after first release. So they buffed AAs and basically killed the game mode.

Even after the changes that happened today im still not even breaking even with a premium account. 4 deaths, 1 player kill and 6 ground unit kills and im still down 46k. I get 8km with 22 GBU bombs and try to only target spaa systems but even that isnt enough. 4 Pansirs are enought to completely nullify all my munitions. Plus more spaa from convoys near targets. Completely wasting 10 minutes of my time. Not even a lick of reward for distracting the spaa with my munitions in case other players try to attack the same target. I get they want team play but why bother if I dont even get rewarded for my efforts.
