Now With the M1 being Brought to 10.7, Can We Finally Receive M833?

That’s all I needed to know.
M1 with M744 is historical.

Just because something is worse doesn’t mean you can just add something “less worse” out of the blue.

Again the issue is m735 not m744 and this is not just an issue with the m1 but a lot of other vehicles and isn’t “out of the blue”

As far I’m concerned remove M735 and make M744 it’s Tier 1 round.
As I said earlier, adding better rounds to vehicles because “history” isn’t right.

Yeah I’m surely RU-biased dev that wants nothing but to make US as bad as possible.

Do explain the mental gymnastics of “lets add a worse tank at a higher BR”. Even with M833, it would STILL be the worst APFSDS but make it slightly more consistent. You’re the ones over here crying about your Russian tanks would suffer… and yes, but when I clip a track and it eats it but the armor analysis states a M833 would go through, it would be nice not to be punished when the competition can ROFLPEN the M1 frontally.

Ooohh, two people (I’d say 3 but you’re only using secondhand arguments because AGAIN, you have 0 experience in it) versus the how many that have said M833 would be good to have in game AND the 40+ players who have liked this topic? Sorry but you’re outnumbered there bud. Not to mention, they literally haven’t said what they usually fought but love how their anecdotal evidence somehow trumps everyone else. I do agree, the M1 does do well in a downtier but uptiered? Yeah, God speed on that unless you can get flanks off (which can be few and far between due to the maps).

I mean, wouldn’t you say the T-series tanks need better ammo if limited to 3BM9? If you really want to argue balance, why is the M1 the only tank that doesn’t have a round similar to its opponents when most NATO tanks have similar speed and mobility? Is 2 MPH faster really worth a round 40+mm worse when most maps are less than 1.5km in size?

But sorry, “Russia suffers” apparently.

and as I’ve said before it is right. there is no reason for it to not be the case and its a problem many other vehicles in the game face and if these vehicles where implemented properly and subsequently placed at an appropriate BR properly there wouldn’t be nearly as much moaning in the forums.

The T-80 at 10.7 also has the worst reverse speed gun depression and reload time, you can get your M833 but as a ussr main I think it needs 3BM46 since it got moved up to 10.7 bro, this is not fair that I got 12 kph reverse speed while other get 38kph, it is so sad that when I got my breech/barrel destroyed but I cannot pop smoke and reverse out of the country bro, how are people allowed it to have so many attributes being worst among others and completely fine with it?

Tbf the T-80B is at 10.7 because of other things like the 3bm42, good armour, low profile, and good forward mobility. If you think it needs the 3bm46 at 10.7, you’re on crack.

But but but, the reload speed offsets its advantage of having better ammunition, it reloads TWO seconds SLOWER than OBROOOMMMSSS bro! and then don’t forget the reverse speed and non-existent gun depression bro!

ok but m833 (1983) was made a whole 3 years after Abram’s (1980) acceptance and before ipm1(1984) was accepted. t80b(1978) is introduced a whole 13 years before 3bm46(1991) and t80u(1987) and t80ud(1985) where already in service by then that’s why m1 SHOULDNT get the m900 as ipm1 was already out if its that much of an issue move the t80b back down or lolbrams up more

I heard Gaijin said the reason the M1 Obroms didn’t get the 833 is due to balancing factor broo, balancing a vehicle to make sure it didn’t outperform everything in its respective br is base on the vehicle overall attributes, not based strictly on one single attribute like armor alone or ammunition, its a combination of all things which make the vehicle great. Like Abrams mains don’t want others to dismiss the turret ring weak spot and ammunition with worst angle pen, while they have no issues dismissing the vehicle disadvantage like slow reverse speed and long reload timer, this is not fair bro if Obroms get received any more buff, then my T-72 will have negative KDR, and the brits and Italy will suffer even more lool

that’s why they need to revamp the BR system id rather the vehicles not be in the game at all rather than be wrong on purpose and I’m not just talking about the Abrams most of top tier air and ground both need to have a fine tooth comb put through it

As it have already been said in this topic. Gaijin isn’t alway right and M833 won’t change what M1 Abrams can or can’t do with current M774. So some people think it redundant to give M833 to M1 Abrams.
But when M774 has its bug report coming (would reduce M774 pen) M833 would be very reasonable to make M1 Abrams retain its penetration power at 10.7 and don’t have to come down in BR.

So what ?
M1 doesn’t need a better performing round, when it does it will receive it.

Never cried that my Russian tanks will suffer from M1 getting a better round, you’re being delusional.

Once again, tracks eating rounds isn’t an issue with rounds, it’s an issue with the track itself and is most likely a bug.
I had non-penetrations while shooting Panthers in their side from point blank, but I haven’t cried on the forum that my tank should receive a better round because the game bugged out and I’m mad about it.

Saying that I have 0 experience in M1 is just delusional, you should take it easy buddy.

This thread is basically US echo chamber which is a pretty common sight on this forum and for all major nations, not just US. I’ve seen wilder threads getting even more likes.

M1 is still fighting the same vehicles as it did a year ago.

Then advocate for BR decompression, because buffing a single tank at a given BR just because it can face uptiers isn’t the way to go.

Yes if they kept their mobility, gun handling, gun depression, reload speed, etc.
You still can’t fathom the fact ammo is just one part responsible for the tank’s balance, which is quite sad to be fair.

Only tank with similar speed and mobility are Leopards. Guess what, they have 1s longer reload speed which is more than enough to compensate for ~40mm increase in penetration.

Keep your delusions in check, not everything revolves around Russia as you might think.
You translating my sentence: “Really good tank at it’s BR doesn’t need more buffs” into: “Pls no, my poor Russian tanks suffer” is totally on you and is honestly ridiculous.

It might be right in your utopia, but I’m talking about the current state of the game, which this forum is about.

And I said to you multiple times that we simply don’t have enough BRs to properly balance tanks with all their ammunition. If you want more BR steps, advocate for it.
Before that change happens I highly doubt M1 will receive M833, which is a good thing.

This is not the thread about BR system revamp.

I must admit watching him try to mental gymnastics his way into the conclusion that you have zero experience in the M1, all the whilst him knowing you have significantly better performance in it than he does is quite incredible.

Makes me chuckle.

The BR system is a joke, they classify Abram’s as a 10.7 but it fights 11.3 minimum EVERY BATTLE, so if they want to use the round as a balancing factor they should look at what the particular vehicle faces and the amount of uptiers per battle.

Disingenuous. Ill give you the slightly slow reload and painful reverse, but flat maps are the norm. I would easily trade 2 seconds of reload for a better shell.

Everyone else gets sucked up to 11.3 as well, the issue is that they at least have ammo that can better handle it.
