I would argue given the meta and given decompression, now is a good time to revisit the idea that it’s not needed.
It doesn’t need it at all, M1 is more than fine as is.
Not changing anything is the easiest way to preserve balance, especially taking into account M1 is far from being sub-par at it’s BR.
Why does the Leopard 1A5 need 105mm DM33, which is an M833 equivalent at 9.3? M833 should be available from the Rise P on up. It’s not about need, it’s about consistent standards. Hell, even the Leopard 2AV gets DM33 despite being built for US testing and the XM1 being limited to M735. It makes no sense for M833 to be so restricted, need or not.

M1 isn’t the only thing that can have it’s loader knocked out.
To “give parity” would involve much more than just buffing the Abrams, it would involve buffing other vehicles that are very mediocre, reworking crew skills, dumbing down the maps even more and doing things like buffing solid shot spall up to par with APHE so you don’t need to learn where to aim in the low tiers.

Again M833 won’t break the balance.
With M774 fix its flat pen would go below 350mm and angle even lower.
It simply doesn’t make sense that you think it ok to left M1 Abrams gimp. when M833 will make M1 Abrams retain the same effective fire power as its current state.
Again with unneeded buffs. As i have said it is not.

I argue the opposite.
Long range maps should grow in number at top tier.
Players should learn scanning and be able to make use of defilade.
Maps should be made bigger.
Spawn points should number 3 or 4, not 2.
I can go on and on, and I have in Tiktok.
Lots of folks even like the ideas, which is interesting since so many of you think of Tiktok as cringe.
But nevertheless, my assertion stands that 833 is parity to the current meta at the new 10.7 BR.

So you would give M833 to XM-1 ? Holy hell.
You can’t have standards on stuff like that, since BRs are set for vehicles as a whole, not based on just one variable. XM-1 is a perfect example of this.
Obviously your ideas like bigger maps are good, but I am talking from a more business point of view, the business guys are just thinking “how can we make it so that people buy their top tier premium AND still get kills” through poor map design and stuff. People are coming from games like FPS so the format has to be pick up and play for the CoD and NBA2K type of players

The XM1 is the perfect example. The XM1 and Leopard 2AV competed for the new MBT contract. Testing showed the two were very similar.
So why does the 2AV get DM33, while the XM1 is limited to M735? DM33 was developed much later, and wouldn’t have been used on the 2AV as it was intended for US use. It makes zero sense.

And I am trying to show them through my own Tiktok how to do it a little different. Nevertheless, this is neither here nor there regarding a round folks are arguing against simply because “good enough” should ever apply only to the M1.

Shells are given/taken from vehicles in order to adjust their performance as Gaijin seems to be most optimal. Shell’s date of introduction don’t really matter.
I’d say that the m1 is actually meta defining at 10.7.
Speed, reload and trolly armour.
And a lot of people point out why that result in the bad balance we have now. I still remember when they refuse to lift up BR compression because muh “Queue time” should be fast. we people said that it worth to wait a few more minute just to get a good match up and have good experience in playing them , etc
But it is! If a vehicle is performing fine, when why does it need a buff?
Look at the ariete P, worst in every way then the abrams except for one thing only. Why is the M1 getting buffed before it?(which, ironically, it already did)
My play experience has never seen an M1 with trolly armor.
And M833 won’t change that. Infact it would help M1 Abrams maintain it fire power at the same level when M774 got fix. Why against it ?
If you bother to check ariete P has better pen with 120mm with DM33. That almost like M829 on M1A1. M833 won’t even match such level
As i said . M833 won’t making M1 Abrams exceed such capability that it has now.

Ok, so the Abrams being a higher BR than the 2AV should get M833.
That’s an excuse. The Rise P, TTS, M1 and IPM1 were added without M833 while German and Japanese tanks were added to the same BR range with their M833 equivalent rounds.
