i quoted what you said yourself
actually quoted 2 things from you. you disproved yourself
oh and
he listed 2 different R60’s pal, you literally just didn’t read. ones rear aspect (R60) and the other is all aspect (R60MK) most all aspects can be flared a little easier if its not a rear aspect shot, if it is a rear aspect shot though yea basically the same missile tracking wise
I think he is claiming I literally meant it was impossible to beat the R-60.
When it was more of a sarcastic remark displaying how difficult it is to beat them.
Either way its insanely hard to beat even the R-60 a missile that’s notoriously easy to beat. Not a single other jet in the game would have as hard a time.
so rear only basic r-60 is super ultra deadly but the all aspect r-60mk is beatable
makes sense
also, the test was showing rear shots which was the point here because frontal shots are easily flareable regardless and his issue was rear
i do understand why people will go around in circles and start saying this and that and changing circumstances when it never was the point of the post
or an exaggeration (lie) to make your issue seem more serious than a skill issue
you can beat it with pressing the flare button couple times and turning hard
actually, I think the R60 got some kind of buff I was having trouble with them with the f4J too (and with me actively cooling the engine. )
The issue is absolutely not a skill issue but an issue with the Harriers heat. No plane needs to try even half as hard and can beat the R-60 or other equivalent missile. Only the Harrier suffers this issue in game.
sarcasm is not the same as an exaggeration
definetly was exaggerating but claiming it was just sarcasm to backtrack nice try though
There is video proof. You can argue that the technique isn’t done well in the video, but not that it doesn’t have a stupid high heat signature. I’d be willing to argue that the technique isn’t the best, since I’ve been able flare Aim-9Js from a kilometre away.
If it’s that bad against R-60Ms, imagine what it’s like against PL-5s, Magic 1s, and IRCCM missiles.
no need to wait! BONK
What’s even that wrong with the technique it was just a simple baseline metric to compare multiple planes and missiles.
Flare in a straight line - see if it hits, do it multiple times to collect and average.
Flare than evasive flat turn and flare at different times in the turn - see how many it takes to miss collect average.
they themselves said that it’s not impossible after saying its impossible
like i said,
feel free to argue them if you don’t like what they said
you defeat irccm missiles differently regardless because they are fov based rather than heat
yes heat plays a role however it is more about aiming your flares on the seeker rather than just dropping them
and the heat of your own aircraft matters less
I dont see the word impossible anywhere except coming from you. also that’s not how irccm works
“you can throw every flare and turn as hard 90 as possible and it will still track regardless” aka impossible
in nutshell it is, you defeat irccm missiles by aiming your flares
if you think im wrong then watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4PMaFA9Obs
I don’t even get what you are arguing about.
So I will ask you 1 question.
Is it significantly harder to fool IR missiles in a Harrier when compared with other jets.
Yes or No.
Specifically non-IRCCM seen at 11.0 and lower.
so you are shoving words into someone’s mouth, cool you do you
for me? no
for you? who knows. keep the skills in check
don’t claim that something is impossible to defeat if its defeatable by clicking the flare button a few times and turning. exaggerating is same as lying
if “you can throw every flare and turn as hard 90 as possible and it will still track regardless” doesn’t mean impossible to defeat feel free to tell me what it means
Show me your stat card and how much you’ve played in the Harriers.
honestly not really but that’s cause my harrier is at 9.7 where missiles aren’t really that good yet and it gets 240 CM that I use on periodic, I know other harriers that are higher BR do have issues though
