With the recent community update providing information for what is to come, they announced that they will be implementing a standalone Korean research tree nation with vehicles from South Korea and North Korea. How do you guys think they will implement this tree into the game? Do you think they will organize it like the Chinese tech tree, with a surplus of tanks from different countries in reserve to around rank V, or will they do it like the Israeli tech tree, start out at around rank IV or V and have a requirement? What are your thoughts on this?

Probably like Israel. Starting from a higher rank than reserve as I doubt they have much for lower BRs

it might not be as low as israel though as there is a lot of stuff they could get from the korean war even if it wasnt necessarily the koreans themselves that used it

The ROK operated M8 Greyhounds with limited use during the Korean War, so it could be a potential reserve/tier 1 starter vehicle at least:
The PVA (possibly shared by North Korea as well) also utilized a Japanese Chi-Ha Kai before it was captured by the Soviets in this photo:
But you are generally correct in that there aren’t many available earlier vehicle options in general, at least until the M24 Chaffee or T-34-85 tank for both Koreas.

Gaijin has said they will not be doing anymore “half trees” like Israel, as player response was not what they had hoped for, so . … .
The first two tiers should be interesting if that is indeed the case.
But after that shouldn’t be to drastic of a change as compared to other nations . . . for the most part.
But we will see I guess . . . it’s the “when” part that they left hanging that has my attention
