It’s too small! As a modern style map, it is too crowded for advanced MBTs and even lacks any side routes. There is nothing on the empty land on both sides of the town.
Any high-level vehicle can freely increase its speed to over 60km/h, without the problem of being slow like WW2 vehicles. so there’s no need to worry about the long marching time at all
Higher level competitions require larger maps, while smaller maps are only suitable for lower level competitions.
What we need are more big maps, such as (big eastern europe, big poland, big tunisia, red desert). The wide area allows players to freely choose tactics. Instead of forcing them to squeeze together
People have been complaining about this problem, haven’t you noticed?
the architectural style of this map is very beautiful, and I would like to see more modern style maps, but the prerequisite is that they must be large
Gajian seem to love flatten maps for some reason. Eastern Europe, Flattened. Flanders, Flat. Im waiting for Carpathians and Ash River to get flattened next…
Just played 2 games on this map. And holy crap it’s horrible! A third of the map is red-zoned with instant death timer, and the rest is another fucked up urban combat zone.
Its a small chokepoint city map, where most of vehicles are concentrated in one tiny area. Its just one pipe with no flanks or any other means to somehow scatter over the map.
After seeing a Lancaster killing 15 tanks with one big bomb drop (also friendly ones), I always leave this map. It pure air horror. Its too crowded. Air units have no issue to aquire targets and the big bomb planes (Pe-8, Lancaster) make it unplayable.
Don’t get why Eastern Europe rural country side was used for Dutch urban areas, especially notoriously flat areas.
Also struggle to find a single word of the native language… they don’t call the mall the mall for one.
Also no idea why there is an Italian sign in the residential area.
More English
Bank sign stolen from the Wild west.
Mph instead of km/h
Almost I guess
And some modern payphones
Complete lack of attention to detail and just throwing random assets in there is just a shame, at least putting in some effort to show that you care and creating an immersive environment would have been nice, create a cohesive environment that makes sense.
Feel like a lot more effort went into the Sweden map.
Gaijin wtf are you doing with putting Red Zone out of bounds timer right beside the spawns on this map?? You’re constantly doing this shit now. I can see by the map, you’re probably trying to make us not flank to the sides right away from spawn so we can’t attempt to go shoot near the other spawn, but how about you just design the freaking maps with some hills/terrain /buildings etc near the spawns to cover them and the area nearby so that doesn’t happen, and STOP with the stupid death time zones that blow us up??
This junk is happening all the time lately and we’re sick of it! How about use your brains and money and use decent map makers instead of being lazy and just throwing red zone out of bounds timers everywhere now??!
You people are really sucking with this junk and on a new map on top of it all, like you’re purposely moving this direction.
All the money you’ve made off us with this game and this type of action is where you’re going now? Many of us have been saying you’re screwing up the maps and now it’s getting even worse, on purpose!
How about use some of the millions you’ve made off us to hire some competent map designers and stop doing these stupid map changes? This is getting ridiculous. Like some people actually sat down and thought out designing this map this way and pushed it into the game. It obviously funnels everyone into the city or else we blow up from the out of bounds timer and I take it that’s the exact purpose of what you’re doing isn’t it? How about leave it up to us how we want to play and where we want to go?
In other hand, half of map unplayable thanks to restricted areas… ok the 2 bottom part accept spawn protection but the other part of the river why not? Maybe the answer is: the streets between houses straight and big without natural covers and not provide enought cover ,if leave the spawn by players…
This map concept basicaly a frontline map, where rare to able flank enemy armors.
OP uptiered tanks will clean the entire city. Play with lower tiered tanks not worth it from this reason, except if it have a good gun. That will able to cause exit from battle without take part in the future when players realise the concept of the map.
3/10… All the maps that have come out for the past 2 years are basically the same. And all the map changes to existing maps have been making them feel more the same, too. Flat, small play areas, with dips and trenches for cover.
Eastern Europe? Reduced hills and made it flat with little dips.
Fields of Normandy? Reduced hills and made it flat with little dips.
Fields of Poland? Reduced hills and made it flat with little dips.
Golden Quarry? Flat with little dips.
Japan? Reduced hill access and made it flat.
Jungle? Reduced foliage and made it feel flat with little dips.
Karelia? Shrunk it again and again, reduced foliage, and while still hilly, it now plays like everything else.
Normandy? Reduced hills and made it flat with little dips.
New maps? Flat with little dips…
What is this obsession for these changes? The game is getting boring and repetitive.
The changes to eastern Europe are actually quite good in my opinion, you can flank so much better on it now. Golden Quarry is nowhere near flat on one whole side. However Gaijin has made the only acceptable version, the larger version high tier only.
They’ve ruined Normandy, and American desert. Japan was never really good, Fields of Poland was made worse somehow. Atleast Flanders is good.
One thing I like about North Holland is being able to go inside buildings, it adds more depth to gameplay, and more areas to go. I hope more maps can get it.
