Good day all!^^
Today’s suggestion will be for a multi-platform self-propelled anti-air system, the sizable Sky Dragon 50, as exhibited and demonstrated by Norinco and developed in partnership with AVIC. At the moment of writing, China has yet to receive a multi-platform SPAA, being one of two tech tree nations to lack said system. I believe the Sky Dragon 50 would be a unique, and striking top-tier candidate.
Note:
- This is merely a suggestion, of which may be represented in the near or far future, the specific timing is irrelevant

History & General Information
The History of the Sky Dragon 50 begins with a familiar missile, the PL-12. Originally, the PL-12, known as SD-10A for export, was developed as an air-to-air missile by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) for indigenous fighter aircraft. First public evidence of interest in a ground-launched variant was sighted in 2008, at the now famous Zhuhai Airshow. The reveal of the Hunter II missile defense system exhibited use of ground-launched SD-10s and PL-9Cs.

Limited in its capabilities as a ground launched missile, AVIC optimized the munition. The newly denoted DK-10 notably possessed a larger fuselage for more fuel. It is supposed a dual pulse engine was another major modification for the DK-10. In 2012, at the famed Eurosatory, the Sky Dragon 50 was first publicly revealed. As an aside, it’s important to note the nature of Chinese military procurement, it is difficult to determine with specificity when certain bids or competitions began. From what’s publicly known, the Sky Dragon 50 participated in a competition for a medium range multi-platform air defense system, losing to the HQ-16. Assumedly, this entire process occurred prior to the initial HQ-16A’s service entry in 2011.
In September 2014, the DK-10, under export designation TL-50 (Tianlong-50) was spotted at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo in South Africa. Later that year, in November, the TL-50 was featured alongside Norinco and AVIC’s joint venture, the Sky Dragon 50. First export deliveries of the Sky Dragon 50, also known as GAS2, were fulfilled later that year, with purchases from Rwanda. Additional orders would be delivered in December 2017, with Morocco receiving its first GAS2 units.

The Sky Dragon 50
Equipped with a medium range surface-to-air missile, the Sky Dragon 50 is one of Norinco’s latest integrated air defence missile systems. Designed for effective area defense, the Sky Dragon 50 can intercept aerial targets at high to low altitudes. The TL-50 missile is capable of engaging targets sized from fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs, to incoming munitions such as cruise missiles. Contained with each Sky Dragon 50 is one IBIS150 target designation radar, a VE33 fire distribution vehicle, and a number of oblique (slant) launch vehicles. A minimum of 3 launch vehicles is counted in a Sky Dragon 50 system, with an upper limit of 6 launch vehicles. Each launch vehicle carries 4 TL-50 missiles. Made to order, the Sky Dragon 50 allows for mix-and-match of components to suit customer requirements.
