Your hatred of Taiwan is noted.

Republic of China deserves its M1A2T.

I want my Thai VT-4 as well, but that’s irrelevant to this discussion.

And Thailand deserves the VT-4. If the Chinese can force the Devs not to give a certain vehicle to a nation that uses it, why can’t we do the same thing?

Your hatred of Thailand is noted.

Asking for no vehicle for a specific nation is playing the same game, if you want good changes you need to behave differently, advocating for a vehicle not to be represented in-game because of your opinions is directly affecting the game original content to be added.

@RiverStyx0420 claims that wanting Thailand to get VT-4 means you hate Thailand.

Obvious anti-Thai ragebait from River.

How does my wanting Thailand to get the VT-4 mean I hate Thailand?

Round 2 let’s go

@RiverStyx0420 You explicitly said I hate Thailand because I want the Thai VT-4.
Which means you oppose the Thai VT-4 being added.

Or do you agree with me that the Thai VT-4 should be added?

You edited the post, including the VT-4 part. I made my comment before you made that change.

I don’t think this is a good approach. The argument against the Thai VT-4 was wrong and unfair, but it won’t help anyone if we start doing the same thing about the M1A2T. If anything they will use thoughts like this to try to retroactively justify their own action in a “you don’t want us to have M1 so it’s justified if we deny VT-4” kind of way.

I think what needs to be done instead is that we should act in the mature and reasonable way they should too, and accept that the ROC M1A2T goes where ROC is placed in game no matter what the manufacturing nation might say, same as the Thai VT-4 should be added to Thailand.

It’s good that developers have put themselves in a complicated situation.

I’m also against adding Abrams in China, as it won’t add anything. Instead of correcting what the Chinese community is asking for, they’re choosing the easy way out by taking a vehicle, changing the skin and flag, and saying they have something new for them.

Because I thought it was common knowledge that I’m for the Thai sub-tree, so I didn’t think it was necessary initially. And I’m juggling doing 7 things at once for the first time this month.

My post also implied I was for the Thai VT-4 by the context of the post, but clearly that implication wasn’t enough.

Also adding M1A2T gives a stronger argument for Thai VT-4 later.
Opposing M1A2T not only opposes the Thai VT-4, but opposes SEP3 for USA.

Nowhere in this post did you make the statement that you supported Thailand getting the VT-4 until after you were called out for it

Agreed

But what’s the meaning behind this part?

It shouldn’t have happened in the first place, because it opens the door for other communities to force gaijin not to add such things in such countries.

China is a tech tree in War Thunder, which means tech tree rules.
Sub-tree rules say no trial vehicles for sub-trees, so Thailand trial’d vehicles won’t be added unless that changes.

Thailand is a sub-tree.
ROC and PRC are hosts to the China tech tree, which mean both fall under tech tree rules.
USA is a tech tree, which means tech tree rules.

Opposing service vehicles to tech trees [not sub-trees, which also deserve service vehicles], is the biggest slippery slope of potential hypocrisy never before seen in this game.

Gaijin can always surprise us in negative ways.

The absolute hypocrisy of this company claiming they don’t care for politics but apparently only when it doesn’t come to hurting the chinese

I don’t think there’s separate Techtree / Subtree rulesets, they just generally prefer service vehicles or unique prototypes so for subtrees that have less additions in total this also means a much lower chance of them adding something only trialed. Keep in mind trialed vehicles are already rare in techtrees as-is.

Though it also depends on the specific situation a lot. Someting like the Oplot-P (unique Oplot variant made for Pakistan, lost to the VT-4) could be an interesting unique addition and would be out of place outside of the nation it was built for, while their trialed Oplot-M might be more controverial and I can see Gaijin avoiding it.
