Hey i think i found a glitch and got a little bit frustrated i shot a challenger in the back and it didn’t penetrate me. Does this happen ofter or is it more like bad luck?

You got insanely unlucky
Normally that shell would have gone straight through, killed all the crew, detonated the ammo, thrown all our tea in the nearest river and then gone out the other side.
No idea how it didnt pen. Maybe glitched out the rack thingy, I think they were messing with them in the last major

My guess is you are seeing the same ‘feature’ thats been in the game for ages. When you hit the horizontal piece of the track guard, the game counts you as needing to go through a distance of armor equal to the width of the track guard. Call it ~700mm of armor. You see it CONSTANTLY with the shelf above the tracks in IS3s.
From what it looks like you hit the underside of the sponsons, which because of how the game calculates penetration, counts as like 600mm of armour.
It happens with everything, just not often.
