I just unlocked the Oyodo, I really was looking forward playing it, I think it is a very cool ship.
BUT, arcade EC is only available only one day a week and if you try playing not in peek hours it is impossible to find A game. So I tried playing normal arcade battles and it is absolute dogwater. Spawn in, then less than a minute later you are dead, or even if you lucky enough that the enemy currelntly focusing someone else, then you will be dead after a minute when that ship eventually sinks and the enemy start focusing you. You cant do anything, just sit there and suffer. This is not gameplay.
Any way you are actually able to PLAY with the ship you want?
Sure, want either the Shitsky soybean or Iowa and play them.
I’ve given up on EC because I cannot join a match that doesn’t already have 6 BBs in the spawns.
And Yamato and Musashi are basically useless even in a full down tier, so you can’t even look forward to not suffering from up tiers one you get to max BR.

Tried realistic EC today in hopes that it would be better, it was not. It is not fun going up against Gneisenaus with HE only in a light cruiser and constantly loosing money.
Oyodo is disgusting good in normal matches thanks to her unusually high penetration AP.
The caveat is she has no torpedoes, mediocre firerate and six guns. Add in the fact the aircraft hangar likes to black hole shells and you got a light cruiser almost as annoyingly durable as the British 5.3 cruisers.
Another issue is her APCBC in the modifications card is hidden under the 15.5cm HE-TF unless this was fixed.
In EC, I generally don’t see a reason to use her; the JMSDF DDs are much more capable anti-air platforms (VTFs) and you just have far better anti-surface platforms in the Aoba, Haguro, Myoko, etc thanks to 20.3s and type 93s if you want to pay supply points.
Yamato and Musashi are absolutely horrifying in EC but their worth in normal matches are a serious mixed bag due to inaccurate armor and ahistorical maneuverability. The 46cms are damn good though. Like they should be.
