Why do tanks have night vision at BR’s that will never see night battles?

Same here. Maybe they just forgot to make it. I think night battles are still in the game, but they seem to be pretty rare.

i agree with this. since night battles are an option, they should be allowed at lower brs for those that select the option

night battles were explicitly removed at BRs before thermal devices become more commonplace
i get that, but it should still be an option for those that accept they dont have thermals.
you would almost certainly never get into a battle for it at those BRs
you can make every argument you want. simply make it an option. if enough have it on. cool. all your arguments so far mean nothing. its not hard to simply allow it to be an option for those ok with it.

below 10.0 there is not widespread enough presence of thermal devices so it creates a massive unfair contrast between vehicles that do and vehicles that don’t
most nations only have 1-2 mbts that get thermals and most of them are 9.3, below that its basically none
just leftovers from when night battles where in the regular rotation at all BRs.
Most of those vehicles have had their NVDs removed, although a few seem to have their driver (3rd person) NVDs left over as an artifact.
