Next Update NATO TANK ARE SO SCREW

Victory of spinning floor

So you think it’s ok if you double the reload time of a tank by decimating the crew, but there were no mechanics that influenced the reload time on tanks with autoloaders (there are not only Russian ones ;-))?

The autoloaders of Russian tanks are a good deal. They eat spalls and protect ammo and crew (at least in the game).

Directly on the topic:

Currently, leopards have little chance of shooting back after being hit. With the exception of the Leo 2A7V. It’s a significant nerf for him.

If a mechanic was implemented that, like the autoloader, protects the crew and allows driving under cover, then it would certainly be ok.

Except their damage/destruction? Tanks with loaders still can fight even after their designated loader is knocked out, but tanks with mechanized/autoloader? They cant fight until repaired (which in itself put them in dangerous position unless in cover and/or at great distance)

And they have an autoloader module that prevents you from reloading until it’s fixed.

Autoloaders are nothing more than a module that can be damaged and repaired. It’s like arguing that damaged and then repaired barrel should not come back to the “white” state and rather be “yellow” at best, while also impacting the ballistics of shells it’s firing.

Or if a shell gets slightly damaged it should lose some of it’s performance and might sometimes lead to detonation when being fired.

The good thing is that most of these vehicles with an autoloading mechanism simply cannot reverse out of trouble, hit the part to prevent the gun from shooting then they are as good as dead, unlike NATO can quickly reverse so they actually have the opportunity to repair their gun or parts that responsible for it lol

you cant still move the turret and fire your already loaded shot tho.

If that’s the case then T-series should get the same basket and modeled as horizontal.

Don’t call it the day just yet. They’re probably modelling them. And in gaijin’s arbitrary fashion, they’ll drop it over the year.

Yeah… probably will, but with all the nerfs of late. Maybe we can get the CR2s down to 11.3 or even 11.0

That is if you have a loaded shell to begin with.

As I said, autoloader module is already serving a very similar purpose.

getting shot mid reload is bad for literally every tank in the game, the point is its not as big of a downside to lose your autoloader as it is to lose all control of the turret.

Im sorry, “not as big of the downside” not being able to reload?! I know it sucks to get your horizontal/verticals knocked out, but it no near as bad as not being able to even return fire

I play NATO nations and I support this change. (sort of)
If a tank gets penned from the side and shrapnel and such fly into the turret basket it will very likely cause damage to that system. The severity of the damage should determine if the basket can still function.

If no hydraulic lines are ruined and there is no large debris interfering with the rotation than the turret would be able to continue operating.

Conversely if the majority of the basket is past the crew likely is too and what difference would it make. If enough damage was inflicted to bend and warp the basket it would likely have issues rotating.

All that said the T-series and other autoloader tanks should have a similar draw back. As they are right now its 50/50 if my 120 mm APFSDS will detonate the autoloader when it should be almost 100 percent kaboom.

you can return fire tho, if your already loaded. however if your turret cant turn you have pretty much have no means of return fire anyway.

Gaijin and modern NATO armor from a USMC tanker

And if you not? If you miss?

Hull turn, as in good old times then “Tops” were late WW2 tanks (or still, if you play Sweden). If not? You try to retreat (which western MBTs more than capable with their actually existing reverse and decent dynamic which Soviet MBTs dont have (and Chinese only partially on top))

Gaijin gonna say “We might never serve in the army, but we know more than him”

if your not your dead in pretty much any tank anyway and if you miss then you played bad and the other player earned the kill.

saying just hull turn while the Russian tank still has full turret control is kinda the point when i say its not as big of a downside. (also not considering the fact you cant really aim for weakspots or targets at different elevations)
