I mean, it is a Chieftain upgrade, and so is the CR1. If for whatever reason the CR1 itself never made it past the proposal/prototype stage, we’d probably call it a failed chieftain upgrade program

But at 9.0 we could also see an in-service Dutch AA, like the PRTL GWI, which has KEFT and airburst munitions. The Thales Rapidfire is more for ships and such.

it’s basically LS-6 with anti radiation seeker, LS-6 has modular capability, can add/switch to different seeker, and also add booster to get further range.

No it isn’t as Shir 2 was originally export version of MBT-80. FV4211’s nick name of ‘aluminum Chieftain’ was just because it made during when Chieftain was MBT of British army, and just uses some component. It’s basically entirely new design with new aluminum hull and turret

I’m a fan of Cold War vehicles and I love playing Cold War vehicles from every tech tree. I have played nearly 10,000 games in the Cold War environment. I really like the land combat mode of the game. Because the game between tanks, aircraft and anti-aircraft guns has always been interesting. However, since NATO countries can only possess F84G, many countries now have lightweight and reliable attack aircraft. The Soviet CAS tree has never been updated. And it got pretty much the worst anti-aircraft gun. I think this took a toll on the gaming experience for Soviet players. I’ve seen a lot of games where players left the game in large numbers because Shilka couldn’t dislodge helicopters or attack planes. I think the game needs to slow down and fill in the gaps caused by the expansion of the tech tree. At least Cold War Soviet players should get a cool attack aircraft. I believe this will be IL-40 or IL-102,Because the efficiency of Soviet anti-aircraft artillery is very low, its offensive capabilities should be enhanced. The current combat effectiveness of the Mi-24 is obviously not as good as that of Western helicopters.I think it’s time to rethink the Cold War CAS environment.
